Bug#590627: Workaround for bug
It seems like it is a bug with the Shortcuts / Menu wire up: When I start debugging with the main menu Run Run with Mono Soft Debugger everything is working just fine, incl. hitting breakpoint. Starting debugging with F5, then the debugger crashes with the exception in the original post.
