Bug#1051695: gdm3: 150% fractional scale not working after upgrade from gdm3 44 to 45

2023-09-11 Thread Eni
Package: gdm3
Version: 45~beta-1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: eni...@petalmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrade gdm3 from 44 to 45~beta-1, the fractional scale of gdm not
fully working.

I set up fractional scale following steps below:

  1. sudo cp ~/.config/monitors.xml /var/lib/gdm3/.config/monitors.xml
  2. sudo chown Debian-gdm:Debian-gdm /var/lib/gdm3/.config/monitors.xml
  3. sudo machinectl shell Debian-gdm@ /bin/bash
  4. gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features
"['scale-monitor-framebuffer']"

I set it for 150% scale, and the fractional scale works fine in gnome 43 and
44.

Recently the gdm3 upgraded to 45~beta-1, I found the scale of gdm doesn't
work anymore.
I tried to figure out what is going on, so I installed a clean copy of Debian
unstable,
and reproduced problem:

  gdm3:45~beta-1:

  * set scale for 150%: gdm3 fall to 100% scale
  * set scale for 250%: gdm3 works with 250% scale

So it seems not the scale not working completely, the scale just not working
at 150%.

  Thank you.

2023-07-05 Thread Eni
Package: ibus-rime
Version: 1.5.0-3

Dear Maintainer,

setp 1: edit config file in ~/.config/ibus/rime, apply "menu/page_size: 9"

  step 2: deploy ibus-rime

  step 3: check, and found:
1. there is 9 items in ctrl+` menu
2. ~/.config/ibus/rime/build/default.yaml shows "page_size: 9"
3. but there is still only 5 candidate words when input

it's seems that this is also affect fcitx5-rime, rime issue maybe
related:

https://github.com/rime/home/issues/1326

  thanks.
