Bug#456390: vlc-nox: Dependency on obsolete packages libiso9660-4, libcdio6

2007-12-14 Thread Erik Steffl
Package: vlc-nox
Version: 0.8.6.c-3+b1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

apt-get says:

vlc-nox: Depends: libcdio6 but it is not installable
Depends: libiso9660-4 but it is not installable

It looks like these versions are obsolete, can you please update
the package to use new versions of given packages?

Not sure if it means anything but aptitude shows more packages
that vlc-nox depends on as UNSATISFIED.

BTW sorry if the severity is not set to reasonable value, since
the package is uninstallable (in unstable at least) I though
it should be grave.

thanks,

erik

Bug#450426: fglrx-driver: bottom 2/3 of screen corrupted if window wider than 1760 pixels

2007-11-07 Thread Erik Steffl
Package: fglrx-driver
Version: 8.42.3-2
Severity: important

After installing 8.42.3-2 openGL doesn't work properly, if the
window is wider than 1760 pixels (1760 works fine, 1761 and more
does not) most of the bottom part of the screen gets corrupted,
not completely though, it looks like redrawn parts are not redrawn
correctly.

Same goes for fullscreen (lower resolutions work OK, 1920x1200 does not).

All programs I tried have the same problem (xscreensaver openGL hacks,
TileRacer game)

Previous version worked correctly (IIRC 8.37.x)

Let me know if you need more info, I can't think of anything
else that would be relevant.

Bug#405007: icedove: Fails to read RSS feeds, fails to add RSS feeds

2007-06-15 Thread Erik Steffl

I also have the same problem, RSS feeds suddenly stopped getting new items.

Using icedove 1.5.0.10.dfsg1-3

Running icedove -safe-mode does not help.

Noticed that clicking on 'Get Mail' button does not result in network
traffic (watching etherape while clicking the button).

Is there any other information I can provide?

Bug#405007: icedove: Fails to read RSS feeds, fails to add RSS

2007-06-15 Thread Erik Steffl

Found similar reports:

http://byronmiller.typepad.com/byronmiller/2006/01/thunderbird_15__1.html

which references:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293567

I quit icedove, removed feeditems.rdf, restarted icedove and it seems to
be working properly. The bug report claims that the problem was fixed in
1.5.0.2 but I have 1.5.0.10 and still saw the problem.

As far as I can tell it was triggered by executing 'Compact folders'
(which is also mentioned in bug).

think I've found the solution on gallery forums - reminder that
config.php is a template for new albums, not something used at runtime.
To disable comments for existing albums one must change permissions of
the album.

Changed permissions for my albums, now going to wait if I'll see more
spam.

Bug#398343: gallery: comments for pictures work even when disabled in config

2006-12-27 Thread Erik Steffl
Even after setting $gallery-app-comments_anonymous = no it is still
possible to post comments, there are no links but direct post still
works, here's what I see in apache logs (I guess that's how the comments
are added):

72.232.93.197 - - [27/Dec/2006:16:53:07 -0800] POST
/gallery/tiger/P1060004?full=0 HTTP/1.1 200 180655
http://zasran.com/gallery/tiger/P1060004?full=0; Mozilla/4.0
(compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)

I see the comments on the site:

http://zasran.com/gallery/tiger/P1060004

It looks like it's impossible to stop spammers from spamming the gallery...

I'll try the gallery forums too, thanks for the tip. Any ideas when
you'll be updating gallery? I still see 1.5.4-2 in unstable.

2006-11-13 Thread Erik Steffl
Package: gallery
Version: 1.5.4-2
Severity: important

Even after disabling comments in gallery config it is possible to add
comments. I verified that comments are disabled and there are no visible
links to add comments but my gallery is still spammed with comments so I
assume that the comment links still work (even though they do not show
on gallery pages).

Not 100% sore this is a bug, might be something wrong on my end, in that
case sorry for unneccessary bug (but please advise:-)

In /etc/gallery/config/php:

$gallery-app-comments_enabled = no;
$gallery-app-comments_indication = both;
$gallery-app-comments_indication_verbose = yes;
$gallery-app-comments_anonymous = yes;

Bug#365709: Any chances drupal 4.7.x will be availabel sometime soon?

2006-05-28 Thread Erik Steffl
There were no upgrades to new versions (4.6 and now 4.7) for about a
year now, is there any chance drupal package will be kept in sync with
upstream?

Would it make sense to officially orphan package to see if somebody
else will pick it up?

Version in debian is already two step behind upstream version which
means likely problems when upgrading (drupal site recommends upgrade
to 4.7 from 4.6 but debian package is still at 5.5)

Bug#329051: drupal: Call to undefined function: check_plain()

2005-09-19 Thread Erik Steffl
Package: drupal
Version: 4.5.5-1
Severity: normal

I see these messages from drupal:

Cron [EMAIL PROTECTED] [ -x /usr/share/drupal/scripts/cron.sh ]
 /usr/share/drupal/scripts/cron.sh

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: check_plain() in
/usr/share/drupal/includes/xmlrpc.inc on line 67

not sure why they are triggered or what they mean, the only suspicious
behaviour I see is the inability to log out (once I log in I am logged
in), not sure if that's related.

2005-08-29 Thread Erik Steffl

since the last drupal update I've been getting the errors from drupal
cronjob:

 /usr/share/drupal/scripts/cron.sh

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: xmlrpc_client in

not sure what that means in terms of functionality, it's in function
drupal_notify so I guess drupal does not get notified about my page (I
guess that's for the drupal list of sites is), can't check it since list
of drupal sites on srupal.org is currently down.
