Bug#711383: texmacs is non redistribuable even under non freeea

2014-01-21 Thread Eshat Cakar
Dear Atsuhito,

all Adobe fonts are not working anymore in the current 1.99 Version
from debian/experimental.
You can check this by opening the file
/usr/share/texmacs/TeXmacs/examples/texts/font-test.tm

Cheers,

Eshat

At present, I build a package without problematic fonts but
it depends on (hopefully) necessary packages which contains
 appropriate fonts to experimental.

I'm not sure how it works or doesn't work but now I'll

Bug#694011: desktop-base: problem after updating from Squeeze to Wheezy

schrieb Yves-Alexis Perez cor...@debian.org:
 To me there's two issues/fixes:

 1) make KDM correctly handle the case where the selected theme is gone

That should already be covered. We have a palceholder, namely
Theme=@@@ToBeReplacedByDesktopBase@@@
in /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc (Boris could you check that?) which is
substituted by kdm's init.d script. The setting is replaced with
values from /etc/default/kdm.d/10_desktop-base.
So you always should end up with the theme currently installed, since
the setting and kdm theme come from the same package (desktop-base).
I admit that the whole process is a bit messy and I probably miss
something, since this all was set before I was involved.

This shouldn't be there. Did you manually change this?
It should be Theme=@@@ToBeReplacedByDesktopBase@@@.

It seems, that you have the debian-edu-artwork package installed, maybe
the issue is realated to the squeeze version of it?
That would explain why this bugreport has not been filed earlier.

I am not sure that you call manually. I do not use text editor to
change that theme, but use standard program KDE System Settings.
And it updates related configuration files.

Ok, so that is the Problem. By changing it via systemsettings, you
replaced the @@@ToBeReplacedByDesktopBase@@@ with an hardlink to
spacefun, which was not available after upgrading to wheezy.
So this should only affects a few users.

Do you think this bug should be reassigned to package systemsettings?

No, it's kdm/desktop-base fault.

I still believe that KDM should check if current theme exist. If it
is not found KDM may be launched with default theme. Any objections?

Indeed, I agree. I'll see if I can fix this.

As Raúl said, I don't see any power measure in this new release of
powertop (lot of added information, but need some info to understand
how to use them). How / Where can you see the power consumption ?

This information is meant to be displayed at the top line of the Overview
tab.
However, I had a closer look at the source and it seems, that this information
might not be available on many (all?) systems, since powertop 1.97 only checks
in the deprecated /proc/acpi/battery/ directory for consumtion information.

I managed to patch powertop to use /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/, that should
be available on systems with modern kernels, so that I got proper consumtion
displayed on my thinkpad X201, but since that (dirty) patch might break
functionality on other notebooks (especially since different units seem to be
used across systems), it's not a global solution, hence not attaached :).

I propose to wait for upstream to fix this. In the meantime you can use
acpitool -B to get detailed battery status information.

Bug#571172: libgpod4 - sid: PREVENTS GTKPOD, RHYTHMBOX' iPOD SUPPORT FROM WORKING - PLEASE UPDATE libgpod4 FROM git

2010-04-25 Thread Eshat Cakar
Hello,

I would also appreciate an update of this package.

The git version isn't even required, there is an official 0.7.9x release which
works fine.
I am using the ubuntu packages for lucid at the moment, since the debian
package in sid is not up-to-date and does not work at all as said before.

By the way: The gtkpod/libgpod mailing list is just a mess, as you can see here:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-gtkpod-devel/2010-April/thread.html

Best regards,

Eshat Cakar

Bug#574805: powertop: Powertop reports incorrect wattage

2010-04-22 Thread Eshat Cakar
This seems to be an acpi problem, since acpitool reports the same wrong value.

~$ acpitool -B
Battery #1 : present
Remaining capacity : unknown, 99.33%, 00:00:00
Design capacity: 5616 mA
Last full capacity : 5816 mA
Present rate : 2289 mA --- WRONG
Charging state : Discharging
Battery type : Li-ion
Model number : 42T4647
Serial number : 2487

So maybe this isn't powertop related.
