Bug#678134: nautilus: Cannot open directory with JP2 files

2012-12-27 Thread Fabien Givors (Debian packages)
Package: nautilus
Version: 3.4.2-1+build1
Followup-For: Bug #678134

Dear Maintainer,

I installed a brand new wheezy yesterday. And run on this bug while
browsing in my documents. Il appears that this bug has not been fixed in
version 3.4.2-1+build1.

Instead of displaying a list of the folder elements, including a
thumbnail of the .jp2 file and the picture properties, nautilus segfaults.

Here is the faulty .jp2 [1]. I got the same behavior with Mathieu's
.jp2 [2]

Thanks,

Bug#690985: installation-report: expert graphical install: wrong caption during grub install

2012-10-19 Thread Fabien Givors (Debian packages)
Package: installation-reports
Version: 2.47
Severity: minor
Tags: d-i

Dear Maintainers,

During the process of a graphical expert install, if I follow the
steps one by one up to the boot loader install. I chose grub
installation and then in the next window (asking me if I want to
install grub on the firstvsector of my disk), the title is wrong (see
capture [1], in French).

It shoud say something like Grub2 installation but instead it shows
man-db configuration.

If, once the installation of grub2 achieved, I choose to redo this step
specifically, then the caption is correct.

It's a very minor bug, but still...

Also, it's not impossible that it was already there for squeeze (and
maybe even before that)

Thanks for your good work,

Also, since there is no way we can assume youtube won't change its API

into
some versatile branch or in the backports one?

Bug#633769: python-gtk2: crashes as soon as a call to set_events is done

2012-09-30 Thread Fabien Givors (Debian packages)
Hi,

Apparently, this is not a bug.

- It's not specific to this package since it can be reproduced with the
following C code:

---
#include gtk/gtk.h
#include gdk/gdk.h

int main(int argc, char* argv[])
{
  gtk_init(argc, argv);
  GdkWindow* rootwin = gdk_get_default_root_window();

  gdk_window_set_events(rootwin, GDK_BUTTON_PRESS_MASK);

  gtk_main();

  return 0;
}
---

gcc -o test script.c -g $(pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0 --cflags)
./test
The program 'test' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'.
  (Details: serial 111 error_code 10 request_code 2 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

- This happens when the event we try to grab is already listened by a
program (here, the window manager).

The following raises no problem:

Xephyr :3
DISPLAY=:3 ./test

But the bug is reproduced with

Xephyr :3
DISPLAY=:3 awesome
DISPLAY=:3 ./test

Where test is either the compiled C program or the following python code:

---
#!/usr/bin/env python
import gtk
rootwin = gtk.gdk.get_default_root_window()
rootwin.set_events(gtk.gdk.BUTTON_PRESS_MASK)
gtk.main()
---

Maybe this bug should be marked as done since it appears to be normal
behaviour for gtk2 [1].

Bug#602463: Still interested in packaging clanlib2?

2012-03-03 Thread Fabien Givors (Debian packages)
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi Andreas,

Yes, I opened bug #602463 some time ago...

I did most of the packaging. Unfortunately, I couldn't get rid of some
lintian warnings. So, the package is not perfect.

I can give you the product of my work if you want. It worked quite well.

After seeking for a sponsor and trying to contact the maintainers of
clanlib-1.0 package, I realized that the good way to do was to contact
the Debian Games Team. Unfortunately, at the same time, my spare time
amount began to decrease dramatically :) And I was not able to pursue
my task.

Currently, last clanlib version is 2.3.5 [1], and the API does not
seem to have changed a lot [2]. So, the question is, should we package
the last stable 2.2 version, or the last released version?

I hope we will be able to work together,
