Bug#678134: nautilus: Cannot open directory with JP2 files
Package: nautilus Version: 3.4.2-1+build1 Followup-For: Bug #678134 Dear Maintainer, I installed a brand new wheezy yesterday. And run on this bug while browsing in my documents. Il appears that this bug has not been fixed in version 3.4.2-1+build1. Instead of displaying a list of the folder elements, including a thumbnail of the .jp2 file and the picture properties, nautilus segfaults. Here is the faulty .jp2 [1]. I got the same behavior with Mathieu's .jp2 [2] Thanks, [1] http://chezlefab.net/poubelle/bugrep/271212_nautilus_segfault_on_thumb.jp2 [2] ftp://ftp.microimages.com/pub/tnt/data/jp2/NEBMOSAI.jp2 -- fabien -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages nautilus depends on: ii desktop-file-utils 0.20-0.1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.4.2-3 ii gvfs 1.12.3-1+b1 ii libatk1.0-02.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-37 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.2-2 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-2 ii libexempi3 2.2.0-1 ii libexif12 0.6.20-3 ii libgail-3-03.4.2-4 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-3 ii libglib2.0-data2.33.12+really2.32.4-3 ii libgnome-desktop-3-2 3.4.2-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.4.2-4 ii libnautilus-extension1a3.4.2-1+build1 ii libnotify4 0.7.5-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii libselinux12.1.9-5 ii libtracker-sparql-0.14-0 0.14.1-3 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii libxml22.8.0+dfsg1-7 ii nautilus-data 3.4.2-1+build1 ii shared-mime-info 1.0-1+b1 Versions of packages nautilus recommends: ii brasero 3.4.1-4 ii eject2.1.5+deb1+cvs20081104-12 ii gnome-sushi 0.4.1-3 ii gvfs-backends1.12.3-1+b1 ii librsvg2-common 2.36.1-1 Versions of packages nautilus suggests: ii eog 3.4.2-1+build1 ii evince [pdf-viewer] 3.4.0-3.1 ii totem3.0.1-8 ii tracker 0.14.1-3 ii xdg-user-dirs0.14-1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#690985: installation-report: expert graphical install: wrong caption during grub install
Package: installation-reports Version: 2.47 Severity: minor Tags: d-i Dear Maintainers, During the process of a graphical expert install, if I follow the steps one by one up to the boot loader install. I chose grub installation and then in the next window (asking me if I want to install grub on the firstvsector of my disk), the title is wrong (see capture [1], in French). It shoud say something like Grub2 installation but instead it shows man-db configuration. If, once the installation of grub2 achieved, I choose to redo this step specifically, then the caption is correct. It's a very minor bug, but still... Also, it's not impossible that it was already there for squeeze (and maybe even before that) Thanks for your good work, [1] http://chezlefab.net/poubelle/8ebf362d6e681e53166e/grub-installer_only_debian_0.png -- Package-specific info: Boot method: CD Image version: debian-wheezy-DI-b3-amd64-CD-1.iso Date: 2012-10-19 20:00 UTC+0200 Machine: VirtualBox 4.1.18-dfsg-1.1/amd64 Partitions: sda1 / ext4 3.8 GB, sda2 swap 258 MB Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot: [O] Detect network card:[O] Configure network: [O] Detect CD: [O] Load installer modules: [O] Clock/timezone setup: [O] User/password setup:[O] Detect hard drives: [O] Partition hard drives: [O] Install base system:[O] Install tasks: [O] Install boot loader:[E] Overall install:[O] Comments/Problems: See the above comment. -- Please make sure that the hardware-summary log file, and any other installation logs that you think would be useful are attached to this report. Bug#633769: python-gtk2: crashes as soon as a call to set_events is done
Hi, Apparently, this is not a bug. - It's not specific to this package since it can be reproduced with the following C code: --- #include gtk/gtk.h #include gdk/gdk.h int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { gtk_init(argc, argv); GdkWindow* rootwin = gdk_get_default_root_window(); gdk_window_set_events(rootwin, GDK_BUTTON_PRESS_MASK); gtk_main(); return 0; } --- gcc -o test script.c -g $(pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0 --cflags) ./test The program 'test' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'. (Details: serial 111 error_code 10 request_code 2 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) - This happens when the event we try to grab is already listened by a program (here, the window manager). The following raises no problem: Xephyr :3 DISPLAY=:3 ./test But the bug is reproduced with Xephyr :3 DISPLAY=:3 awesome DISPLAY=:3 ./test Where test is either the compiled C program or the following python code: --- #!/usr/bin/env python import gtk rootwin = gtk.gdk.get_default_root_window() rootwin.set_events(gtk.gdk.BUTTON_PRESS_MASK) gtk.main() --- Maybe this bug should be marked as done since it appears to be normal behaviour for gtk2 [1]. Bug#602463: Still interested in packaging clanlib2?
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi Andreas, Yes, I opened bug #602463 some time ago... I did most of the packaging. Unfortunately, I couldn't get rid of some lintian warnings. So, the package is not perfect. I can give you the product of my work if you want. It worked quite well. After seeking for a sponsor and trying to contact the maintainers of clanlib-1.0 package, I realized that the good way to do was to contact the Debian Games Team. Unfortunately, at the same time, my spare time amount began to decrease dramatically :) And I was not able to pursue my task. Currently, last clanlib version is 2.3.5 [1], and the API does not seem to have changed a lot [2]. So, the question is, should we package the last stable 2.2 version, or the last released version?
