Hi,
  I'm FreeTDS maintainer.
Debian keeps shipping 0.91 version which was release 6 years ago, is
not more maintained and probably contains multiple security issues and
cannot deal with recent server versions correctly.
Why ignoring all update requests?

Bug#353735: Please consider post release patch

See post release patch at freetds.sf.net. It contains the fix for this
problem. I backported fix for this problem on July 22 2005.
I would remember that we stop updating post patch for this version for
lack of people. We are now about to release version 0.82.
