Bug#415780: octave2.1: Please upgrade gnuplot dependency from suggests: to recommends:
I am only lurking and don't have a particularly strong opinion about this, but "recommends" seems to make more sense to me. Even running a batch job from a terminal it is still usually desirable for the plot function to work correctly. For example, the following should create a file "sin.ps" whether or not it is executed from a graphics-capable terminal: echo "t=[0:0.1:10]'; x=sin(t); plot(t,x); print -depsc2 \"sin.ps\""\ | octave -- Geraint Bevan http://www.mech.gla.ac.uk/~gbevan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#312697: openoffice.org: "External Data" dialog in oocalc does not respond to entered URLs.
Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.3-9 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line *** The "OK" button in the "External Data" dialogue box of Calc is greyed out and remains so even after a filename or URL is entered. Bug#289763: Acknowledgement (rsjog fails with no such device /dev/sonypi)
OK, I have found the problem. Reading through the documentation for the similar 'sjog' package, I noticed that it advised creating the sonypi device with the command: mknod /dev/sonypi c 10 63 I had created it with minor number 250 (as suggested in the kernel documentation "sonypi.txt"): mknod /dev/sonypi c 10 250 Deleting this device and replacing it with the 63 version, both sjog and rsjog work correctly. -- Geraint Bevan http://homepage.ntlworld.com/geraint.bevan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
