Bug#401443: fontconfig: fails to pick DejaVu fonts

2006-12-03 Thread Haifeng Chen

Package: fontconfig
Version: 2.4.2-1
Severity: normal

Since upgrade to this version of fontconfig, gnome-font-properties failed
to pick DejaVu fonts

Here are the pics.

http://linuxfire.com.cn/~optical/Screenshot/book2condensed.png
Application, Document, Desktop font were set to DejaVu Sans Book
before the upgrade. And now all of those settings are changed
automatically.

http://linuxfire.com.cn/~optical/Screenshot/no_difference.png
In this pic, I picked two different style of the DejaVu font
family, but the preview show they are all most the same.

Bug#370708: xfonts-wqy: Please follow the *INSTALL*

2006-06-06 Thread Haifeng Chen

Package: xfonts-wqy
Version: 0.7.0-4-1
Severity: important

According to the TTF Package Installation provided by WQY. This font
file is a special type of TTF, called SFNT (or sbit only) TTF. It is
supported by FreeType 2.x or later. Unfortunately, ttfmkdir and
fc-cache can't recognize this format. We should not use those tools
to generate configuration files.(ttfmkdir failed to create fonts.dir,
fc-cache put wrong information into fonts.cache-1 and make fc-match
take more time to output a match). So we should use the hand-written
configurations files shipped with the upstream package. Otherwise the
package is useless.

PS: In my opinion, it's better to package BDF or PCF version. It is just
not the right time to do it with TTF version.

Bug#351371: This bug could be fixed by rebuild.

2006-02-12 Thread Haifeng Chen
I just download the debian source package, extract it, change version
to 7.5-1.1 then use dpkg-buildpackage to rbuild it.

Bug#349357: totem-xine: Playlist unusable

2006-01-22 Thread Haifeng Chen
Package: totem-xine
Version: 1.2.1-3
Severity: important

If I have a media file in the playlist, it is unable to add another
one. Totem crashed when I press the add button. And I also
find that I can't add two or more media files at a time.

Bug#312874: initscrpts: /etc/init.d/bootclean.sh print cleaning /tempfind:warning:...

2005-06-10 Thread Haifeng Chen
Package:initscripts
Version: 2.86.ds1-1

When I boot my box, I got a warning from /etc/init.d/bootclean.sh:

cleaning /tempfind:warning:you have specified the -maxdepth option
after a non-option argument -perm, but options are not positional
(-maxdepth affects tests specified before it aswell as those specified
after it)

I check the log of aptitude, find that I just upgrade findutils from
version 4.1.20-6 to 4.2.20-2 . Then I downgrade the package,reboot my
box. It works, the warning is disappeared.

It seems that we should do a litte change to the bootclean.sh.

I am using Debian Sid
