Bug#1069743: Removal of features from default keepassxc package

2024-05-06 Thread Hernán Cabañas

Dear Mantainer,

I would like to endorse the first message and add another possible issue
that appears when using the default keepassxc package: There is also
missing functionality with browser integration with the minimal version
of keepassxc. Existing installations would lose this widely used feature
without a clear path to restoring it.

A mantainer/developer upstream proposed in a GitHub discussion
(https://github.com/keepassxreboot/keepassxc/discussions/10686#discussioncomment-9335365)
the creation of a keepassxc-minimal package instead of the current
solution. This would offer an alternative to security-minded users
without removing functionalities for current installations.

Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards,

~hcg

Bug#1063843: python3-electrum: Upgrade to Electrum 4.5.2 from 4.4.6 causes installation of texlive packages

2024-02-13 Thread Hernán Cabañas
Package: python3-electrum
Version: 4.5.2+dfsg-1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: hcaban...@gmail.com

The new version of python3-electrum (4.5.2) recommends texlive-fonts-extra,
which
depends on texlive-base. All in all, installing (or upgrading) Electrum
normally
would install 2.3GB of packages that are not needed.

I deferred the upgrade, the following information is for python3-electrum 4.4.6.

Bug#674062: gnome-shell: Scrambled text until the mouse cursor is hovered over it

2012-05-22 Thread Hernán Cabañas González
Oh, I'm sorry about the package mistake.

Yes, I have the same problem with Gnome Classic too.

Bug#674062: gnome-shell: Scrambled text until the mouse cursor is hovered over it

2012-05-22 Thread Hernán Cabañas
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.2.2.1-4+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Normal use, some pieces of text on screen have a lot of "noise" over
them, making them unreadable.
A screenshot is available at http://i.imgur.com/BnP9K.png . chrome's
address bar.
This issue is not limited to chrome, I had the same behavior in
nautilus.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
Hovering the cursor over the affected text resolved temporarily the
issue.
Changing hinting and anti aliasing parameters did not resolve the issue
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
