Bug#369448: Bit me to
Trying to upgrade to 2.6.18-3 from 2.6.18-1 gave me the same message. I'd suggest improving the error message to something like, "Ok, aborting because you said you don't want an initrd. Please enable debconf or put initrd_no_warn in /etc/kernel-img.conf" or something similar - you get the idea. Bug#296385: Thunderbird Won't Wrap Lines Even Though Configured To Do So
Brian White wrote: Have you turned off format=flowed ? See for example here: http://www.holgermetzger.de/mailundnews.html#33 I'm afraid I can't read the language, but it appears to be a mime extension that tells a reader to unwrap lines. Do I have that correct? I didn't see anything in the preferences dialog to set the width of this un-wrapping. Darn, sorry. What I meant is: (quoting from http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Using_Plain_Text) Advanced Mozilla uses format=flowed by default for plain text, as defined by RFC 2646. You can find details of Mozilla's implementation here (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=134270). To disable format=flowed, add these lines to user.js: pref("mailnews.send_plaintext_flowed", false); // RFC 2646 pref("mailnews.display.disable_format_flowed_support", true); Some details on the settings involved in sending attachments inline or via MIME are here (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=213736) Technical details of HTML <-> text conversion and other text issues are here (http://www.bucksch.org/1/projects/mozilla/).
