Bug#444601: xserver-xorg-input-mouse: XF86DGADirectMouse mouse button mapping not working, no mouse wheel in some games
I am having the same problem, the mouse functions perfectly in regular X apps (such as iceweasel) but it behaves wrong in all games that I have tried (quake3, rtcw:et, doom3). The scrollwheel used to be recognized as MWHEELUP and MWHEELDOWN, but now the same actions are recognized as button4 and button5 instead. Changing the binds to reflect this helps a bit, but the scrolling behaviour is very jumpy and inaccurate. I would like this to be solved, since it prevents the playing of any modern game that involves the mouse. -- hiding.out at gmail.com
