Bug#985950: network-console: Should tell user to disable public key auth when having too many ssh private keys

2021-03-26 Thread Julien Rabier
Package: network-console
Severity: normal
Tags: d-i

Hi,

I had trouble connecting to the installer because my ssh client was trying to
authenticate using all of my ssh private keys before password auth.
As i had too many keys, this lead to a "Too many authentication failures"
message followed by a disconnection.

network-console module should indicate to be careful of this and use -o
PubkeyAuthentication=no.

Regards,
Julien

I'd say 3 times out of 4, newsboat segfaults at startup.
It doesn't follow a regular pattern, sometimes it works at first launch,
sometimes it takes 10 attempts for it to start.

I can provide a coredump if needed, please let me know how can I share
it efficiently.

> SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print("
> - fixed by injecting empty start tag ", tname)?

It seems related to this upstream issue:
https://github.com/babluboy/bookworm/issues/330

Unrelated, binary name is com.github.babluboy.bookworm which is annoying
when one wants to launch the app from the command line. I don't know if
it's something fix-able on the packaging side or if it's worth reporting
upstream.

Thanks for packaging/maintaining Bookworm,
Julien

Bug#943515: linux-image-5.2.0-3-amd64: Cannot resume from suspend

2019-12-19 Thread Julien Rabier
Source: linux
Followup-For: Bug #943515

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same issue, only with Debian-provided kernels since
version 5.2. It's affecting all versions packaged since.
My workaround is to compile the kernel from upstream, which works as expected
without any issue.

My laptop is a Thinkpad X260. If I disable the security chip or set it to
Discrete TPM, the issue disappears.
So, to me, it seems like something in Debian packaging related to TPM is
causing this issue.

Bug#587986: cutycapt segfaults when capturing some urls

2010-07-03 Thread Julien Rabier

Does it happen for you every time you try that URL? Does it happen with every
 URL?

It happens every time I try that URL, and it happens also for other urls
like http://www.silverlight.net/ or http://www.lepoint.fr/ .

Cutycapt is perfectly working for other urls like http://www.lemonde.fr/
or http://www.april.org/ .

Bug#495924: lxpanel: no app-specific icons in taskbar

2008-08-21 Thread Julien Rabier
Package: lxpanel
Version: 0.3.8.1-2
Severity: minor

No app-specific icon is displayed in the taskbar. There is one icon for
every app running. This doesn't seem to be theme-dependant because
it doesn't appear on an other system using the same theme.
A screenshot is attached to show the icon displayed.
