Bug#591317: wdm breaks with wmalloc assertion error
Package: wdm Version: 1.28-3 Severity: normal When starting wdm the normal way, the cross cursor from X changes to an arrow, and then the startup process breaks off. I tested this then further in the following way. I started up a separate X server, then did 'export DISPLAY=:0' in another terminal and executed 'wdm -nodaemon'. After some time I get the following message : wdm: /tmp/buildd/wmaker-0.92.0/WINGs/memory.c:83: wmalloc: Assertion `size 0' failed. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages wdm depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.24 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-18lenny4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfontconfig12.6.0-3generic font configuration library ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libpam-modules1.0.1-5+lenny1 Pluggable Authentication Modules f ii libpam-runtime1.0.1-5+lenny1 Runtime support for the PAM librar ii libpam0g 1.0.1-5+lenny1 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libsm62:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libwraster3 0.92.0-8 Shared libraries of Window Maker r ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxau6 1:1.0.3-3 X11 authorisation library ii libxdmcp6 1:1.0.2-3 X11 Display Manager Control Protoc ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxft2 2.1.12-3 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxinerama1 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxmu6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii psmisc22.6-1 Utilities that use the proc filesy ii x11-apps 7.3+4 X applications ii x11-common1:7.3+20 X Window System (X.Org) infrastruc ii x11-xserver-utils 7.3+5 X server utilities ii xutils1:7.3+20 X Window System utility programs m wdm recommends no packages. Package: apt-mirror Version: 0.4.4-4 Followup-For: Bug #386162 I do a mirror now every month from the Debian repositories, and I still have problems with packages containing tildes. Bug#386162: apt-mirror: Packages with a tilde (~) in the version are not downloaded.
Package: apt-mirror Version: 0.4.4-3 Severity: important It is already a couple of weeks that this error pops up. I have had it with libkrb53, libgadu and today with gtodo 0.16.0~rc2-1. apt-mirror does a mirror, but some packages never make it locally. The common part in this is that these packages all have a version number ending with ~rc... I have a temporary fix for my updates by adding the Debian ftp server from my mirror list to my sources list, but it would be nice if this problem was solved in a more general way. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17.11-epsilon Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages apt-mirror depends on: ii adduser 3.97 Add and remove users and groups ii perl 5.8.8-6.1 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii perl-modules 5.8.8-6.1 Core Perl modules ii wget 1.10.2-2 retrieves files from the web apt-mirror recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
