Package: kernel-patch-2.6-reiser4 Version: 20050715-1 Severity: minor Hello Ed Boraas, Domenico Andreoli and others,
Problem: The reiser4 patch from Debian::testing does not support the 2.6 kernel from Debian::testing (package kernel-source-2.6.8, version 2.6.8-16). Is it convenient for other users of Debian::testing when the reiser4-patch package supports kernel 2.6.8? Is it possible and not too difficult to support this kernel version? (I can imagine that tracking to which Debian version different reiser4-patches have propagated and changing the reiser4-patches whenever they enter a new Debian version, is too much work.) Solutions: 1: (Not tested, if needed i can test it. But someone with more knowledge of kernel-patch-2.6-reiser4 than i have, might imediaty see if this will work.) - Add reiser4-*-2.6.8.patch.gz to /usr/src/kernel-patches/diffs/reiser4/ - Edit /usr/src/kernel-patches/all/apply/reiser4 change KVERSIONS and PATCHFILES to include the new files. 2: (For other users who like to have reiser4 with a 2.6.8 kernel from debian.) Keep using kernel-patch-2.6-reiser4 version 20040813-6 (available in Debian::stable (sarge)) With kind regards, Kasper van den Berg -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
