Bug#1031047: keepass2: new upstream releases (2.53)

2023-09-15 Thread Libor Klepac
Hi,
i have downloaded upstream binary and replaced files from this package on disk.
There is bug in packaged 2.47 version: when i have two files opened at once,
app freezes when switching between tabs/files.
It does not happen with 2.53

Bug#554162: fail2ban: sometimes(frequently) fails to load iptable rules with multiple jails

2009-11-03 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: fail2ban
Version: 0.8.4-1
Severity: important

Hi,
I have problems with using several jails. It was there before, but didn't hit
so hard as today, when i was unable to restart fail2ban cleanly , i was trying
it for maybe 50 times (changing configs, installing python2.4 ...etc).
I seems to fail to execute iptables in correct orderd leading to something like
this in its output

-
iptables: Resource temporarily unavailable.
iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.
iptables v1.4.4: Couldn't load target
`fail2ban-proftpd':/lib/xtables/libipt_fail2ban-proftpd.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory

Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information.
2009-11-03 14:29:14,591 fail2ban.actions.action: ERROR  iptables -N
fail2ban-proftpd
iptables -A fail2ban-proftpd -j RETURN
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp -m multiport --dports ftp,ftp-data,ftps,ftps-data -j
fail2ban-proftpd returned 200
-
Seems like last rule is executed when chain is not ready

This problem is reported upstream, i think
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=2870788group_id=121032atid=689044

With patch
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=2857096group_id=121032atid=689046

Patch applies fine and seems to help, but I have to use
action = %(action_)s

instead of action_m
action_m = %(banaction)s[name=%(__name__)s, port=%(port)s,
protocol=%(protocol)s]
  %(mta)s[name=%(__name__)s, dest=%(destemail)s,
protocol=%(protocol)s]
action = %(action_m)s

or provided
action = %(action_mw)s

With regards

Bug#465461: linux-image-2.6.24-1-686: modprobe sbs fails with Unknown parameter `update_time'

2008-02-12 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: linux-image-2.6.24-1-686
Version: 2.6.24-4
Severity: normal

Hello,
since upgrading from 2.6.23-2 to 2.6.24-3 and 2.6.24-4, module sbs
(smart battery system) doesn't load with message
sbs: Unknown parameter `update_time'

My notebook (acer travelmate 4501WLMi) provides battery status only with this
module, so without
it, it doesn't react on low battery status (it died yesterday with flat
battery)

Bug#439768: libmtp5: udev rules prevents using my player in mass storage mode

2007-08-27 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: libmtp5
Version: 0.1.5-2
Severity: important

hello,
when i put my sansa e250 in mass storage mode, it's still somehow
influenced by rules in libmtp.rules - block devices are not created.
I managed to solve? this problem by adding line
DRIVER==usb-storage, GOTO=libmtp_rules_end
just bellow
SUBSYSTEM!=usb_device, ACTION!=add, GOTO=libmtp_rules_end

It works fine for me now, but i don't know, if that is the right
approach

Bug#383891: mdadm: fix for 381181 prevents udev creating /dev/disk/* links

2006-08-20 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: mdadm
Version: 2.5.2-10
Severity: normal

Hello,
i was migrating system to new disk, creating new md arrays. I also tried
to use root=UUID=some-uuid in grub.
It fails, because udev rule prevents udev from creating symlinks in
/dev/disk/*
I have attached small script for initramfs, to be run from local-top,
and a patch for /e/i/mdadm-raid

Now, i can boot system with root=UUID=uuid-of-fs-on-raid

But i'm little confused, md devices are in /dev/md/[0-9] not
/dev/md[0-9], attached script creates links to devices in /dev/md/

Is that new location or legacy location? i was creating partitions with
gparted

Bug#364822: udev: persistent rules for platform and serio

2006-04-25 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: udev
Version: 0.090-4
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

Hello,

I have written this little patch, to support platform and/or serio
devices in persistent input rules (by-path). I don't know, whether it's
reasonable
to persistly name these devices, but i was nervous, my
/dev/input/by-path directory is empty ;) ... if it's not reasonable,
just drop this patch.

Second patch (path_id.class.diff) is an attempt to add some detection of
ID_CLASS for non-usb devices (like serio, or ir remote on my tv card),
it's based on driver name.

my directory /dev/input/by-path looks like this now
pci-:00:1d.0-usb-0:1:1.0-event-mouse
pci-:00:1d.0-usb-0:1:1.0-mouse
pci-:02:01.0--event-ir

Bug#359328: xserver-xorg-video-i810: dri doesn't work (maybe because of kernel 2.6.16?)

2006-03-27 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: xserver-xorg-video-i810
Version: 1:1.5.1.0-1
Severity: normal

hello,

I have hp omnibook XE3 with this card

:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82830 CGC
[Chipset Graphics Controller] (rev 04)

I have recently upgraded xorg to version 7 (and kernel 2.6.16
vanilla)(xorg.conf is freshly generated with dpkg-recofigure
xserver-xorg) and today, i noticed that dri
is not working.

LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo outputs this message
libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 1.5.1 i915 (screen 0)
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/dri/i915_dri.so

and so on ...

after little searching, it seems, that there is some mishmash between
some files in xorg, mesa and kernel (or so, i don't understand it much)

So i downloaded
http://dri.freedesktop.org/snapshots/i915-20060325-linux.i386.tar.bz2
compiled new kernel modules ... it didn't help.

So i overwrited /usr/lib/dri/i915_dri.so from libgl1-mesa-dri and
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/i810_drv.so from xserver-xorg-video-i810
with those precompiled files from tarball and dri acceleration seems to
work (it works even after moving back original kernel modules).

Can you please update these files, if it's possible?

thanks

Libor

Bug#344427: kernel-package: fails to build for KPKG_ARCH=uml

2005-12-22 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: kernel-package
Version: 10.020
Severity: normal

Hello,
I was trying to build uml kernel using make-kpkg and it fails, because
generated debian/control file contains only package
kernel-uml-someversion, but make-kpkg tries to package
linux-uml-someversion.

Also, i think, that this arch (if it's possible) should build-depend on
libpcap0.8-dev.

My build command is:
KPKG_ARCH=um fakeroot make-kpkg --initrd --append-to-version=-um1 --revision=1

Bug#342010: nagios-common: Some info about cfg_dir and nagioshost in README.Debian

2005-12-04 Thread Libor Klepac
Package: nagios-common
Version: 2:1.3-cvs.20050402-10
Severity: wishlist

Hello,
what about enabling support for splitted up configuration of services(or
others?) ?
Like this...in /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg

cfg_file=/etc/nagios/services.cfg
cfg_dir=/etc/nagios/services

/etc/nagios/services.cfg should contain only templates, all hosts will
have separate file in /etc/nagios/services.
I have very large service.cfg file and this separation helped me.
I think, there is no need to modify shipped services.cfg, enabling support
for directory based configuration and mentioning it in README.Debian should be
enought.

Second thing,
in
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/eventhandlers/distributed-monitoring/submit_check_result_via_nsca
there is hardcoded hostname nagioshost.
Maybe you should mention in README.Debian, that users who want to use
this script, should put some ip address to /etc/hosts or overwrite it in
this script.

thanks

Bug#207523: does it work?

2005-09-14 Thread Libor Klepac
hello,
thanks for this patch, it applies nicely and i can compile sasl too,
but, i can't get it working with md5 passwords in my database (it works,
when i use DES and crypt_trad, but not with md5 ones)

I added $1$ in front of my testing password, but it still doesn't work,
it generates completely different checksum, than the one in db

I have password 'test2', which has checksum of
ad0234829205b9033196ba818f7a872b

In mysql things are like this
mysql select password from email where email='libor.klepac';
+-+
| password|
+-+
| $1$ad0234829205b9033196ba818f7a872b |
+-+
(generated with update email set password=concat('$1$',md5('test2'))
where email='libor.klepac';)

And i have little debug output in checkpw.c which says
---
password_format 2
src $1$ad0234829205b9033196ba818f7a872b
src[0] $ src[1] 1 src[2] $
crypt(passwd, salt)  $1$ad023482$gL0dBmmRyAFxHh9aATaf20
passwd test2 salt  $1$ad0234829
auxprop_values[0].values[0] $1$ad0234829205b9033196ba818f7a872b
---

So, the checksum generated with crypt is totally different.
i don't know, what i'm doing wrong. Do i have to do something with salt
length, or use something completely different?

thanks

Bug#322324: ifplugd: Fails to ifup eth0 at boot time

2005-09-12 Thread Libor Klepac
hello,
i have the same problem here

my configuration
i use discover to load modules for pci devices (both on laptop and desktop)
i have hotplug pci subsystem disabled
on laptop, i use udev to rename eth0-lan, on desktop eth0 is eth0 ;)
i have ifplugd configured to watch all hotplug interfaces and no static
interface

i noticed it, when i switched from hotplug for pci to discover on my
desktop (maybe it wasn't working before, but i don't restart my desktop
offten so i didn't notice

after boot, i have ifplugd running for lan interface, but it's not up, i
was searching why, and it seems, that problem is, when you have
/etc/networking/run/ifstate linked to /dev/shm ... appearently, it's not
available, when hotplug launches ifplugd
i created regular directory and file and lan is up after boot

i fiddled a little with sequence of commands in rcS ... now it's
S33mountall.sh
S34mountvirtfs (we need /dev/shm mounted)
S35ifupdown (we need /dev/shm/network/run/ifstate)
S36discover (it loads e100, it seems to emit hotplug action - launches
ifplugd which ifups lan, so we need /dev/shm/network/run/ifstate)
S40hotplug (is not important)

(old sequence was
S35mountall.sh
S36discover
S36mountvirtfs
S39ifupdown
S40hotplug
)

and it also boots with lan ifuped

what do you think? i think, it should work this way, maybe this bug
should be assigned to another package (maybe it's complete gibberish,
but it fixed my problem, it seems)

well as i look on sequence of commands in rcS, it seem, that when e100
module was loaded by hotplug pci, ifupdown was already finished, so
ifstate file existed

2005-09-05 Thread Libor Klepac
hello,
i was just i simillar situation, it seems, that ifplugd runs down action
only when you remove cable, but not when you stop the daemon (ie when
you remove module or from hotplug)

so i modified stop method in /etc/init.d/ifplugd to run
/etc/ifplugd/ifplugd.action ... so the stop method looks like this
stop)

echo -n Stopping Network Interface Plugging Daemon:

for IF in $INTERFACES ; do

/etc/ifplugd/ifplugd.action $IF down

$IFPLUGD -k --wait-on-kill  -i $IF

echo -n  $IF

Bug#314990: xdm missing Xsetup file?

2005-08-14 Thread Libor Klepac
hello
i'm not sure, this will solve your problem, but xdm seems to be missing
/etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup file. Could it be a problem?
I was upgrading one old machine and suddendly i could not login using xdmcp
/var/log/xdm.log says

Sun Aug 14 20:24:09 2005 xdm info (pid 8334): not sourcing
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup (No such file or directory)

Sun Aug 14 20:24:11 2005 xdm error (pid 8334): fatal IO error 32 (Broken
pipe)

after touch /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup it says
Sun Aug 14 20:26:24 2005 xdm info (pid 8489): sourcing
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup

Sun Aug 14 20:26:24 2005 xdm error (pid 8493): can't execute
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup (err 13)

and session pops out

i can login localy without the Xsetup file without problem.
(it just says
Sun Aug 14 20:34:26 2005 xdm info (pid 8853): not sourcing
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup (No such file or directory)
)

(i'm running X Window System Version 6.8.2 (Debian 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5+SVN
20050813144141)
