Bug#741738: zoneminder: stream sock error: No such file or directory

2014-04-16 Thread Luigi Cirillo
Of course, I installed zoneminder on Jessie, I use it only for testing
purpose so in a local network. All devices are connected through WiFi.
The camera is an Ip camera Foscam like.
Everything work on Wheezy, instead.

Bug#741738: zoneminder: stream sock error: No such file or directory

2014-03-16 Thread Luigi Cirillo
Package: zoneminder
Version: 1.26.5-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,
I tied to enable all logs of zoneminder but the only information I got is the
same of apache error log:
[Sun Mar 16 13:05:30.095183 2014] [:error] [pid 4383] [client ::1:53603] ERR
[socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-259629s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory],
referer: http://localhost/zm/?view=watchmid=1

This is the zm log:
03/16/14 13:05:09.759334 web_php[4383].DBG [LogOpts: level=DBG/DBG, screen=OFF,
database=INF, logfile=DBG-/tmp/zm/zm_debug.log.4383, weblog=INF, syslog=INF]
at /usr/share/zoneminder/includes/logger.php line 168
03/16/14 13:05:30.009692 web_php[4383].DBG [LogOpts: level=DBG/DBG, screen=OFF,
database=INF, logfile=DBG-/tmp/zm/zm_debug.log.4383, weblog=INF, syslog=INF]
at /usr/share/zoneminder/includes/logger.php line 168
03/16/14 13:05:30.009873 web_php[4383].ERR [socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-
259629s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory] at
/usr/share/zoneminder/includes/functions.php line 2344

So I can not see the cam stream, but the stream of camera is available from
vlc, for example.

Thank you if you can help me.

The new drivers are better than previous, now the error is shown and

 Are they usable?

Otherwise you may want to try the 331.20 drivers from experimental.
I don't think they will pull in any dependencies but themselves, but
 havent checked.

Package: nvidia-kernel-dkms
Version: 331.20-2

Same problem with drivers of experimental:

Bug#724651: same problems with new drivers

2013-12-02 Thread Luigi Cirillo
Is it a problem of dependencies or I force to install package version
in the wrong way? There is not pinning configuration:
**
# apt-get -s install linux-headers-$(uname -r|sed 's,[^-]*-[^-]*-,,')
nvidia-kernel-dkms=319.72-1~bpo70+1 nvidia-driver
nvidia-alternative=319.72-1~bpo70+1
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
linux-headers-amd64 is already the newest version.
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 nvidia-alternative : Depends: glx-alternative-nvidia (= 0.4) but
0.2.2 is to be installed
 nvidia-driver : Depends: libgl1-nvidia-glx (= 319.72-1~bpo70+1) but
304.88-1+deb7u1 is to be installed
 Depends: xserver-xorg-video-nvidia (=
319.72-1~bpo70+1) but it is not going to be installed
 Depends: nvidia-vdpau-driver (= 319.72-1~bpo70+1) but
304.88-1+deb7u1 is to be installed
 Depends: libnvidia-ml1 (= 319) but 304.88-1+deb7u1
is to be installed
 Recommends: nvidia-settings (= 319)
Recommends: libgl1-nvidia-glx-i386 but it is not installable

There should be 319.72 available in wheezy-backports by now.

I do not understand why the X server re-run without close the log file, so
every log file is cropped before show backtrace.

Usually Xorg should rename the previous logfile to Xorg.log.0.old before
 starting ...

Bug#724651: Nvidia driver and X Segmentation fault - Fatal server

2013-09-26 Thread Luigi Cirillo
Yes, I followed the wiki page and I wrote the file
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf
but the result is the same.
In a second attempt I deleted the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf and
used nvidia-config. No difference
