Hey Adrian/all, upstream maintainer here, just wanted to say this is on my radar. TL;DR Python 3.7 semi-quietly (as part of a separate bugfix) changed the dict constructor behavior when passed another dict. Tracking it here: https://github.com/mahmoud/boltons/issues/179
