Bug#880656: slapd: Overlay lastbind doesn't contain lastbind_forward_updates/olcLastBindForwardUpdates settings

2017-11-03 Thread Nerijus Kislauskas
Package: slapd
Version: 2.4.45+dfsg-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

https://github.com/openldap/openldap/commit/44e9bda0e42f40e0baf0a2c0ef733eb757abd366

This is a commit of lastbind change to extend overlay's functionality. Two
additional settings were added:

for slapd.conf:
lastbind_forward_updates

for cn=config:
olcLastBindForwardUpdates

Also documentation is updated. Those options are used to forward update of
attribute 'authTimestamp" to the master instead of local DB. Trying to do this
now gives an error:

#!ERROR [LDAP: error code 17 - olcLastBindForwardUpdates: attribute type
undefined]
dn: olcOverlay={0}lastbind,olcDatabase={1}mdb,cn=config
changetype: modify
add: olcLastBindForwardUpdates
olcLastBindForwardUpdates: TRUE

Would be nice to have it working in Debian's slapd.

Dear Maintainer,

There is no such package nvidia-kernel-3.14-2-amd64 in jessie. Only in sid. I
took this package from sid, installed it and everything works. Do package
maintainers forgot to include this package in jessie?

this is a known problem. I tried to address this problem partially in
our upcoming Apache 2.4 tree, but since complex init scripts such as
Apache's are error prone, we decided not to backport my improvements to 2.2.

Could you try the new init script [1] and tell me if it fixes your
problem? There I wait until the server is stopped, start is left as is
 so far.

No, it does not. Pacemaker result:

I will stay with original wheezy apache2 init script with sleep X at

Hi,

Sorry, but I will not. Since severity is serious, I think Maintainers
should take care. Bug #643584 is the same one for 96xx. I think
Maintainers would shoot two rabbits with one bullet, if they would like
to (let's say make a post by themselves).

For now, I am using one from testing.

Comment: Hello,

This is an update of a server ameba.sc-uni.ktu.lt. The main reason of
updating is, that this domain will be dropped in the future. Of course, with
this update we produce, that we hold all architectures, give HTTP, FTP and
RSYNC access with different name ftp.litnet.lt. Please, replace
ameba.sc-uni.ktu.lt with ftp.litnet.lt in all your lists, as debian
installs, web pages and other. I would be grateful.

Bug#459733: udev does not create ethernet interfaces on startup

2008-01-08 Thread Nerijus Kislauskas
Package: udev
Version: 0.105-4
Severity: normal

Hello,

Ethernet: Intel PRO/1000 PT Quad port Network Adapter (82571EB)
Motherboard: Intel® Server Board S5000VSA

We have Intel PRO/1000 PT Quad port Network Adapters. So 4 network
interfaces + 2 from motherboard (total 6 network interfaces).

lspci shows as follows:
05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet
Controller (rev 06)
05:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet
Controller (rev 06)
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet
Controller (rev 06)
06:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet
Controller (rev 06)
08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 80003ES2LAN Gigabit
Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 01)
08:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 80003ES2LAN Gigabit
Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 01)

As you can see, 2 last ethernet interfaces are from motherboard. All 6
ports uses same e1000 driver. So, we downloaded e1000-7.6.12.tar.gz
(newest one) driver from Intel site, compiled it and loaded it to the
kernel. It seems that all ethernet interfaces are detected, but

e1000: eth0: e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection
e1000: eth0: e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection
e1000: eth0: e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection
e1000: eth0: e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection
e1000: eth0: e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection
e1000: eth1: e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection

4 Quad port Network Adapter interfaces are detected as eth0. Moterboard
interfaces are detected as eth0 and eth1.
