Bug#780351: libforks-perl: Version check on Storable broken when version number is not numeric

2015-03-12 Thread Patrik Wallstrom
Package: libforks-perl
Version: 0.36-1+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Line 1570 on forks.pm has this:

local $Storable::Deparse = 1 if $Storable::VERSION >= 2.05;

So I get the following problem on use:

expo$~>perl -Mforks
Argument "2.49_01" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.20/forks.pm line 1570.

Since the version apparantly is 2.49_01 and not 2.49, which means that this
version of forks is not usable right now.

Comments/Problems:
Testing with RAID-5 on four identical SATA hard drives, with many
partitions, including /boot on RAID-5.

The base system installation failed on mdadm with failed dependencies
on udev and/or makedev. It was not obvious what the problem was. And I
could not install the boot loader at all.

I have been running it for a couple of hours now with the updates php4
packages, and it seems definitely more stable now. Thank you!

Bug#301713: squirrelmail: strange errors with php 4.3.10

2005-03-27 Thread Patrik Wallstrom
Package: squirrelmail
Version: 2:1.4.4-3
Severity: normal

When accessing squirrelmail right now, in 99% of the cases the apache
thread dies with this error message:
[Mon Mar 28 00:01:51 2005] [notice] child pid 13502 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)

Squirrelmail might work for a while after an apache restart, but soon
dies again.
