Bug#495475: sonata: Fails to display albums in artist/album mode and may segfault...

2008-08-17 Thread Paulo Diovani Goncalves
Package: sonata
Version: 1.5.2-2
Severity: normal

By selecting some artist in Artist/Album mode sonata fails to display any info
(the library view stays completely empty, until change the view mode again), and
output the error bellow (see attached file).
If exits the application when seeing this artists, sonata can't start again
until remove ~/.config/sonata/sonatarc.
Remove the image files in ~./covers temporary fix the problem.

When being able to open a cover file, sonata should try to replace that one with
a new downloaded one.

Bug#457342: marked as done (tuxguitar: fails to install due to dependencies)

2008-02-09 Thread Paulo Diovani
The tuxguitar package works with the libswt-gtk-3.3-java packages.
Shouldn't it be used in place of libswt3.2-gtk-java?
I dont know the diference between the two packages, but seens that
they have the same purpose, so, there's no need to keep the two
packages on the system.

Bug#455923: Failt to mount the root filesystem of sata hard disc on amd64 kernel

2008-01-15 Thread Paulo Diovani
i added this source in mine /etc/apt/sources.list:

## Debian Kernel Snapshots
deb http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel trunk main

and installed the 2.6.24-rc7-amd64 linux version.
it's working all fine now, with the new kernel, until now. hope it stays
this way.

maybe the problem was a bug on the 2.6.22~2.6.23 kernel versions, or just a
compatibility problem with my sata hd. in any case, thanks all for the help.

2008-01-10 Thread Paulo Diovani
well, strangely, if i add ahci to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist the system still
dont boots, and then i need, on busybox, to remove the module from
/etc/modprobe.d/balcklist and load it again. so i can boot.

:(
in resume, my pc almost never boot alone, at first time.

Bug#459147: Nautilus segfaults when selecting file properties

2008-01-04 Thread Paulo Diovani
Package: nautilus
Version: 2.18.3-3

When Right Clicking and selecting properties of some files, the
problem ocurred with many images and video files (*.mkv, *.avi, *.gif)
and some others. After selecting the properties dialog nautilus closes
imediatelly, lefting no error messages.

Since the gnome buggy-buddy show up and allow to send a bug to gnome,
i have done it, and see that the bug was found by many users and is
reported at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440988
it seens to be the same bug.

This is the log placed at ~/nautilus-debug-log.txt just after the bug
(i have installed the nautilus-dbg package to help debuging):

Bug#455923: Acknowledgement (Failt to mount the root filesystem of sata hard disc on amd64 kernel)

2007-12-22 Thread Paulo Diovani
I think i found the problem.
Once on busybox, if i unload the 'ahci' module, then run 'udevtrigger', the
sata hd is recognized and, on 'exit' busybox, the root filesystem is mounted
fine.
So, it seens that all i need to do is to build a new kernel, with the
ata_piix module and without the ahci.

Bug#455923: Failt to mount the root filesystem of sata hard disc on amd64 kernel

2007-12-12 Thread Paulo Diovani
Package: linux-image
Version: 2.6.23-1-amd64

my kernel does not create /dev/sda1 (root) on boot. grub loads from
the same hd and, sometimes, the system works fine, but in most of'em i
fall into busybox and have only /dev/hda (cdrom).
I changed the /dev/name by UUID= at grub and fstab.
I placed some sata modules
(scsi_mod,sd_mod,libata,sata_nv,ahci,ata_piix) at
/etc/initramfs-tools/modules.
Booted with 'noapic' and/or 'acpi=off' options.
...None of it worked.

Its an Acer Aspire 7520 BR Laptop
