Bug#1059900: Postinst deletes module source files

2024-01-03 Thread Petr Čech
Package: dkms
Version: 3.0.12-3
Severity: important

Hi,
after upgrading the postinst tries to delete old source files. It seems
that it is a bit too liberal and removes also source files from zfs as
it contains /module/ directory. It renders zfs module unbuildable with
next kernel upgrade.

Installing new version of config file /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms ...
removed '/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.2.2/source/module/zstd/zfs_zstd.c'

removed '/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.2.2/source/module/zstd/lib/zstd.h'
...
removed directory
'/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.2.2/source/module/icp/algs/blake3'

removed directory '/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.2.2/source/module/icp/algs'

removed directory '/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.2.2/source/module/icp'

removed directory '/var/lib/dkms/zfs/2.2.2/source/module/'

Petr

Bug#811050: dnssec-tools broken with perl 5.22

2016-01-14 Thread Petr Čech
Package: dnssec-tools
Version: 2.1-1
Severity: grave
Tags: patch

Ahoj Ondro,
it seems because of changes in perl 5.22 rollrec/zonesigner/... fail with
following error messages:

UNIVERSAL does not export anything at
/usr/share/perl5/Net/DNS/SEC/Tools/tooloptions.pm line 19.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/share/perl5/Net/DNS/SEC/Tools/tooloptions.pm line 19.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/sbin/zonesigner line 52.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/zonesigner line 52.

Commenting out line 19 in /usr/share/perl5/Net/DNS/SEC/Tools/tooloptions.pm
(#use UNIVERSAL qw (can);)
seems to fix the problem.

Čau
Petr

Bug#786955: dgit should switch dependency from realpath to recent coreutils

2015-06-08 Thread Petr Čech
Hi,

2015-06-08 16:20 GMT+02:00 Ian Jackson ijack...@chiark.greenend.org.uk:
Petr Čech writes (Bug#786955: dgit should switch dependency from realpath to
 recent coreutils):
 Package: dgit
 Version: 0.22.1
 Severity: normal
 ...
as of coreutils 8.23-1 realpath has been merged into the mail package.
Please adjust dependencies accordingly. I would suggest this:

  coreutils (= 8.23-1~) | realpath

Thanks for the report. I'll make this change at an appropriate point.

 I have two questions, though:

  - You say into the mail package but then you talk about coreutils.
What does the mail package refer to ?

It should read into the main package. Sorry for confusion.

  - Does the existing coreutils have a Provides ? If so then good.
If not then this bug needs a higher severity as current sid dgit
would be uninstallable otherwise.

No, realpath is provided as a transitional package.

Bye,

Petr

 Thanks,
 Ian.

Hi Ondřej,
the donuts command does't work and terminates with different errors between

The suggested workaround works for me.

Bug#751392: lvm2-activation-early breaks because of run-lock.mount

2014-06-12 Thread Petr Čech
Package: lvm2
Version: 2.02.106-2
Severity: important

Hi,
I've noticed that lvm2-activation-early.service fails to start with following
message:

Jun 12 09:38:24 flora lvm[403]: /run/lock/lvm/V_flora_md0:aux: open failed: No
such file or directory
Jun 12 09:38:24 flora lvm[403]: Can't get lock for flora_md0

Jun 12 09:38:24 flora systemd[1]: lvm2-activation-early.service: main process
exited, code=exited, status=5/NOTINSSTALLED

The reason seems to be, that run-lock.mount runs after
lvm2-activation-early.service
and the file and directory disappear.

The following (untested) patch should solve it.
