Bug#493624: zoem: segmentation fault during translation to html
Hi Tobias, thanks for your bug report. However, I was unable to reproduce that behaviour with the file you've attached. In the .azm source, another file (mcx.zmm) is included, which I downloaded from the mcx source tarball (http://micans.org/mcl/src/mcl-08-157.tar.gz). Did you use that version as well? Yes, right. Could you also run the following command: $ strace zoem -d html -i mcxconvert.azm -o mcxconvert.html and send the output to this bug report? Done. Could it be an arch specific problem? Bug#456145: Should only write changed prefs to .transmission/gtk/prefs.ini
I keep my home directory in version control, as a means of sharing it across systems, keeping it backed up, and tracking changes to it. One of the biggest problems I run into relates to applications that always write out their entire preferences, rather than only changed preferences. This makes it much harder to track changes and share files across machines. Could transmission please write out only its changed preferences, rather than all preferences? I don't see the point here why it is necessary to only write changes. A good revision control system should recognize what changed anyway. I just tested it with git. After commiting all files in ~/.transmission I changed one option: $ git diff diff --git a/gtk/prefs.ini b/gtk/prefs.ini index b733d78..7f023f0 100644 --- a/gtk/prefs.ini +++ b/gtk/prefs.ini @@ -4,7 +4,7 @@ download-limit-enabled=false download-limit=100 upload-limit-enabled=true upload-limit=50 -prompt-for-download-directory=false +prompt-for-download-directory=true default-download-directory=/home/philipp/tmp listening-port=9090 nat-traversal-enabled=true As you see, the diff shows only the one option that I changed. Bug#451975: ITP: cl-plplot -- A CFFI based interface to the PLplot scientific plotting library
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Philipp Benner [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: cl-plplot Version : 0.4.0 Upstream Author : Hazen Babcoc [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://common-lisp.net/project/cl-plplot/ * License : MIT Programming Lang: Lisp Description : A CFFI based interface to the PLplot scientific plotting library Cl-plplot provides a CFFI based interface to the PLplot graphics library. The PLplot graphics library supports the drawing of many different types of 2D and 3D graphs using a large variety of output devices including X11, postscript and png. PLplot can also be used to make scaled drawing, or diagrams. At present, cl-plplot consists of two packages, one is low-level interface to the PLplot library and the other is high-level plotting interface that attempts to make using PLplot with Lisp easier. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- Philipp Benner -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#211466: \fP on a separated line produces incorrect output
`.IP' is not interpreted correctly because of the preceding `\fP' on a separated line (see test.1). ---test.1 .TH LINUX 1 .PP Test \fBbold \fP .PP Paragraph - The following two examples produce correct output. ---test.2 .TH LINUX 1 .PP Test \fBbold\fP .PP Paragraph - ---test.3 .TH LINUX 1 .PP Test .ft B bold .ft .PP Paragraph - `\fB' and `\fP' are used by the userinput environment (and various others) to produce bold text. According to the groff manual the `\f' escape is only used for changing fonts in the middle of words. So the `.ft' request seems to be the far better way for changing fonts in the userinput environment. I'll try to fix this with the next docbook-to-man upload. Bug#389932: Help with menu (Was: Bug#389932: wish: gnumed --debug should open terminal window)
Thanks for the hint to the -hold feature but it seems to work only for real xterm. So I have probably several possibilities: 1. Make gnumed-client dependant from xterm (which seems be useless for most of the cases. 2. Make a separate package gnumed-client debug which depends from xterm and contains not much more than the menu entry and this dependency. 3. File bugs against all packages that provide x-terminal-emulator but do not show the -hold feature (would this be reasonable) 4. ??? What would you think would be a reasonable solution? Maybe this is what you are looking for: x-terminal-emulator -e 'gnumed --debug; echo [press enter to quit]; read' It's not a smart solution but it works. Bug#379604: ITP: wise -- comparison of biopolymers, commonly DNA and protein sequence
Package: wise Severity: wishlist Wise2 is a package focused on comparisons of biopolymers, commonly DNA sequence and protein sequence. There are many other packages which do this, probably the best known being BLAST package (from NCBI) and the Fasta package (from Bill Pearson). There are other packages, such as the HMMER package (Sean Eddy) or SAM package (UC Santa Cruz) focused on hidden Markov models (HMMs) of biopolymers. Wise2's particular forte is the comparison of DNA sequence at the level of its protein translation. This comparison allows the simultaneous prediction of say gene structure with homology based alignment. There is currently no other package that I know of that contains this type of algorithm with a full blown gene prediction model and a hidden Markov model of a protein domain. Wise2 also contains other algorithms, such as the venerable Smith-Waterman algorithm, or more modern ones such as Stephen Altschul's generalised gap penalties, or even experimental ones developed in house, such as dba (see section \ref{sec:dba}). The development of these algorithms is due to the ease of developing such algorithms in the enviroment used by Wise2. Wise2 has also been written with an eye for reuse and maintainability. Although it is a pure C package you can access its functionality directly in Perl. Parts of the package (or the entire package) can be used by other C or C++ programs without namespace clashes as all externally linked variables have the unqiue identifier Wise2 prepended. Java and CORBA ports are being considered - see \ref{sec:api} the API section Finally Wise2, although implemented in C makes heavy use of the Dynamite code generating language. Dynamite was written for this project, by Ewan Birney. There is a separate documentation for Dynamite found at http://www.sanger.ac.uk/Software/Dynamite.
