Bug#681820: e2fsprogs: Problems in German translation
* Helge Kreutzmann (deb...@helgefjell.de) [20130125 17:17]: Thanks. I than have a quick look and give a heads up for Ted so he can check if it could still make Wheezy. Helge, I've submitted the fixed po to the translation robot. You can download it from there as http://translationproject.org/PO-files/de/e2fsprogs-1.42.6.de.po. I'd also upload a fixed po file for 1.42.7 but no message template for that version is available from the TP site. Ted, did you forget to sendf one there? * Ted T'so (ty...@mit.edu) [20130116 19:39]: Hi, I just wanted to follow up to see if this Debian bug can be closed. It looks like Philipp has uploaded a newer version of the de.po file since July 2012, so I presume he's reviewed your suggested changes and either accepted them, decided to fix the translation or a different way, or decided that the current wording was sufficient. I further rechecking it seems like I had a totally different list of translation issues in mind when first answering. I'm now going through Helge's diff and will upload a new po file for 1.42.6 ASAP. I'll send out a note when I'm done. Philipp -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

* Helge Kreutzmann (deb...@helgefjell.de) [20130117 14:18]: Ok. I haven't heard from him since our exchange last year, though. Sorry, in the heap of work for SLES I forgot to contact you. The new german translation also fixes the errors you reported. Philipp -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#681820: e2fsprogs: Problems in German translation
* Helge Kreutzmann (deb...@helgefjell.de) [20120717 19:00]: I'm a little short on time atm, but please send me the file once it is ready. Will do. As I'm doing this in rather a hurry, are you interested in a more thorough review in debian-l10n-german later this year? I could run it and you could participate or simply get the patch and take whatever you like. I'd be very interested in a thorough review. When I started doing the e2fsprogs translation (mainly because I maintained the package for SUSE Linux) I had much more time and could thoroughly check the messages. Nowadays I only react to reports of bugs or the changes needed for a new release of the e2fsprogs. Would I have to subscribe to debian-l10n-german in order to take part in the discussion? Thanks for your *very* quick response! You're wellcome :) Philipp -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? * Ted T'so (ty...@mit.edu) [20120716 23:23]: In my experience Philipp is very responsive as the upstream Translation Project translator for e2fsprogs. At least I try to be ;-) Ideally, if he agrees with your updates, he could upload a fixed de.po for e2fsprogs to the Translation project, and I would be very happy to get it into an updated e2fsprogs upload for Debian. I'll see what I can do. Time is a bit tight at the moment but I hope to still have the time for a review and integration. Helge, for the future please (also) use the translators mailing list which is translation-team...@lists.sourceforge.net. BTW, funny that only very few people realize they can take the translation from the TP website, compile and install it, independently of the binaries.
