Bug#331072: debian + cinelerra + theora rocks

2009-02-06 Thread Philippe Coval
As usual in Debian a program like Cinelerra-CV without mpeg2, mp3, aac
 or x264 encoding is useless.

Well I managed to make a couple of videos
using theora+vorbis as input and outpout and it works ..

look yourself if it matters :

http://en.theorasea.org/search.php?search=rzr

If the problem remains in fonts licencing , this sounds not like a big issue

Finally thanks to Christian for his work on d-m.org

Hi,

Any news on qemu merge ?

Check this article  :
http://www.newlc.com/en/deb-packages-android-sdk-bleeding-edge-cupcake-images

I published some quick and dirty packages :

* android-emulator : which is the qemu fork
* android-sdk : which is the whole precompiled sdk (by updateam) it
works also on amd64

Hope it helps...

I am not sure all can be packaged into debian, since the images contains
opera ...

well Today swt3.4 is prefered,

  Secondly, the package

Well spotted

 Also, the diff included a HotSpot error dump. Please use debdiff to
 sanity-check the changes you make in a source package before uploading

My mistake, sorry

 Here are the changes I propose. Please let me know whether I should

Hi,

Don't you use a mozilla's browser ?

I didnt make tuxguitar strong depend on it , since it was a minor
feature ...
but unless you removed iceweasel it should be present on your system
since it's recommended...

Do you know other way to display HTML docs using swt ?
I am not sure but it seems to be different on swt3.4

Will check later, regards

Bug#492084: atitvout: should this package be removed?

2008-07-23 Thread Philippe Coval
Hi,
I'll try to fix this bug, see comments bellow

 * Fairly low popcon.
242
 * Upstream has been dead since 2004.
yes but It worked as expected since
 * RC Buggy.
I'll see If I can find a workaround,
actually the problem is not in ativout itself but in lrmi
which is also noticed in
http://bugs.debian.org/490746

BTW, would it be a good idea to package lrmi appart ?

 * Functionality exists in GATOS and probably now Xorg directly.
I am not sure it works on all gfx adapters see :
http://bugs.debian.org/481748

 If you think that it should be orphaned instead of being removed from
 Debian, please reply to this bug and tell so.
Orphaned? I just adopted it
 If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please
 just close this bug and do an upload also fixing the other issues.
I'll try to have a look at it before summer vacations , so I let the bug
open
untill a next release

Bug#488173: RFP: jrtplib -- Real Time Protocol (RTP) library (C++)

2008-06-26 Thread Philippe Coval
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: jrtplib
  Version : 3.7.1
  Upstream Author : jori.liesenborgs jori.liesenborgs[a]gmail.com
* URL :
http://research.edm.uhasselt.be/~jori/page/index.php?n=CS.Jrtplib
* License : Custom one
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : object-oriented RTP (Real Time Protocol) library written in
C++

JRTPLIB is an object-oriented library written in C++ that offers support
 for the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) as defined in RFC 3550.

It makes it very easy to send and receive RTP packets,
 and the RTCP (RTP Control Protocol) functions
 can be handled entirely internally

Notes:

I worked on this lib years ago and decided to RFP
 this library when I was working on jabbin, which uses it
Other projects are using it like gstreamer,
 so It may be good to package it alone.

I am also Interessed into co maintenance...
since I wrote some patches for using it along the snapshot version of jabbin.

Stay tuned:

check this patch attached or online at :

About the /usr/share/java/swt.jar wish
I agrea this is not appropriate since it's arch dependant

Hi,

This bug happend because swt isnt found on ia64,
It seems that the jar file is badly linked :
http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/pool/main/e/eclipse/libswt3.2-gtk-java_3.2.2-5_ia64.deb
./usr/lib/java/swt3.2-gtk.jar: broken symbolic link to

./usr/lib/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.gtk.linux.ia64_3.2.2.R3_2_maintenance.jar

So I guess it's trivial to fix

BTW, According to policy /usr/share/java/swt.jar MUST be present too

Have you tested current version 0.9.3-2 ?

Hi,

Quoting :  http://bugs.debian.org/424905
 I have packed a SDLMAME version for Debian (Etch/Lenny) from up to date

great ! , if you're motivated to upload it to debian
 please retitle the bug to ITP

Then double check you debian/* files
 and try to merge what cesare flaco (cc:) did before
 (watch file, getorig etc)

Here are links to ubuntu works published in hardy :
  * http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/sdlmame

If it helps, I also connected this bug to ubuntu tracker
  * https://bugs.launchpad.net/debian/+bug/135879

Also if time miss, just tell us, someone (like me) may do the final steps

FYI, I started to merge yours and ubuntu patches, and build a 0.124.3 debian
package
 fell free to reuse it again:

  * http://rzr.online.fr/q/mame

I'll make deeper tests

 If it us just a ruby script, is it sensible to use an entire package

well the package already existed this form in ubuntu

Bug#442280: gsoap: forwarded upstream

2008-01-23 Thread Philippe Coval
Package: gsoap
Version: 2.7.9b-1.1
Followup-For: Bug #442280

Hi,

I forwared this question on upstream tracker :

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailatid=468024aid=1868310group_id=52781

Quoting Robert van Engelen (engelen) :

 The wsdl2h tool is also available under GPL and I presume this is
 compatible with FSG.
 Note that wsdl2h and all other parts of gSOAP are covered under GPL.

Sounds good to me, if there isn't additional obligations, is it ?

 The
 commercialization of the software is legally possible without forking or
 repackaging due to restricting the contributions to the gSOAP public
 license (not GPL).

Now, some investigation are needed to make it clearer
If it helps

Bug#345547: upstream 0.9.3 and patches needed to compile it

2008-01-02 Thread Philippe Coval
Hi

I have been playing with this modem (bewan usb) during last week on my
family's computer (ubuntu)

As said at :
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unicorn/+bug/945

I built a new package with new upstream 0.9.3 and patches needed to
compile it
under debian unstable or ubuntu gutsy, see :
  http://rzr.online.fr/q/unicorn

If noone want to adopt this package, I can take it until someone else
wants to take care of,
because it's complicated for me to test it since I don't have the
hardware handy...

Anyway I'm looking for some uploader for NMU or a mentee upload ?
contact me and I upload it to : mentors.debian.net

 Why do you think you need to allocate that buffer yourself? This is
