Bug#964948: tzdata: The leap-seconds.list file is expired

2020-07-13 Thread Pierre Ducroquet
Package: tzdata
Version: 2019c-0+deb9u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

It appears the leap-seconds.list file of tzdata in debian stable is now expired.
This is a potential issue if new leap seconds are introduced, and thus, as far
as I understand, deserve an upgrade even in debian oldstable. The sid version of
this package expires on 28 December 2020.

$ grep "File expires" /usr/share/zoneinfo/leap-seconds.list
# File expires on: 28 June 2020

Best regards

Bug#932847: libbinutils: Can no longer link to Qt provided amd64 libraries - "error adding symbols: bad value"

2019-07-23 Thread Pierre Ducroquet
Package: libbinutils
Version: 2.32.51.20190707-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading from 2.31.1-16 to 2.32.51.20190707-1, linking to Qt-provided
QtWebEngine fails with the following error:
> g++- -Wl,-rpath,/home/snoopy/Qt/5.12.3/gcc_64/lib
> -Wl,-rpath-link,/home/snoopy/Qt/5.12.3/gcc_64/lib -o my-app *.o -L/usr/lib/
> -l:libstlink.so.1 -lusb-1.0 -L/home/snoopy/Qt/5.12.3/gcc_64/lib
> -lQt5QuickControls2 -lQt5WebEngine -lQt5WebEngineCore -lQt5Quick -lQt5Gui
> -lQt5WebChannel -lQt5Qml -lQt5Network -lQt5Positioning -lQt5Test -lQt5Sql
> -lQt5SerialPort -lQt5Core -lGL -lpthread
/usr/bin/ld: /home/snoopy/Qt/5.12.3/gcc_64/lib/libQt5WebEngineCore.so: error
adding symbols: bad value

Downgrading libbinutils and binutils-x86-64-linux-gnu fixed this issue and link
succeeded again.
Another workaround is to use the gold linker.
Both these solutions are fine workarounds, but I think the real issue needs to
be adressed.

Bug#919212: gambas3-ide: Missing gambas3-gb-jit dependency causing failure to start

2019-01-13 Thread Pierre Ducroquet
Package: gambas3-ide
Version: 3.12.1-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Thank you for the recent update of the gambas package to 3.12.1.
After upgrading, I noticed the program did not start anymore and gave the
following error
message:

$ gambas3
ERROR: #27: Cannot load component 'gb.jit': cannot find component

After installing the gambas3-gb-jit package, that is available but not listed
as a
dependency of gambas3-ide, the problem is fixed.
I suppose gambas3-gb-jit must be added to the dependencies of this package, or
it
should be built in a way that does not depend on JIT.

Regards

Bug#817826: libc6: Symbol __h_errno, version GLIBC_PRIVATE, no longer exposed in libc.so.6

2016-03-10 Thread Pierre Ducroquet
Package: libc6
Version: 2.22-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading libc6 to 2.22 from 2.19 through classical apt upgrade, I
noticed some applications stopped working, mainly my email client (KMail)
which stopped sending emails.
The following error appears now in my xsession logs :
Cannot load library /usr/lib/kde4/kio_smtp.so:
(/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libresolv.so.2: symbol __h_errno, version GLIBC_PRIVATE
not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference)

This regression makes at least KMail unusable, but may impact other packages as
well.

Thanks

 Pierre
