Bug#765375: Package 'portmidi' compiled with PM_CHECK_ERRORS (quits ungracefully)
Package: portmidi Version: 1:184-2.1 PortMidi is compiled with PM_CHECK_ERRORS enabled. This is a debugging options which calls exit(-1) on every error rather than allowing the application using PortMIDI to gracefully handle the error. This produces many user reports of "crashes" in Mixxx: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1097286 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#635318: mixxx crashes on loading tracks into players
I sent dragon an email personally a few months ago with no response. I don't think we're going to get any additional details on this bug. Bug#635318:
Hi dragon, Is this reproducible with any track or just one specific one? Is it only when you load the track from a playlist or does it also work when you drag and drop the track from the Mixxx library or from an external file browser? Please also check if it is specific to any particular file format, also. Thanks very much, RJ Ryan
