Bug#942280: linux-image-4.19.0-6-amd64: Mouse wheel does not work

2019-10-13 Thread Rafał Rutkowski
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.19.67-2+deb10u1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
The mouse wheel does not work, if the machine is booted with this kernel.
By not working, I mean the windows do not scroll (I use GNOME on X11); no
mouse
wheel events are registered in xev.

The above problem does not exist, if the machine is booted with 4.19.0-5.

Below is the mouse info from lsusb:

I am not having this problem either (amd64 testing).

I was affected by this bug even after upgrading to 1.1-4. But upgrading the

Tortoisehg-nautilus runs fine now.

Bug#660157: gnome-shell: does not display system tray icon of a java application

2014-03-20 Thread Rafał Rutkowski
Hi!
I don't use that app anymore, but I made a test. I cannot reproduce the
exact same bug now, but things are actually worse on gnome-shell 3.8.4-5.
The icon is now displayed as a quarter of a larger gray square. There is no
tooltip when hovering over with the cursor and the context menu doesn't
work at all.

My Java version is currently openjdk-7-jre: 7u21-2.3.9-5. There are no
issues in the GNOME flashback mode.

Bug#724894: tortoisehg-nautilus: does not start

2013-10-22 Thread Rafał Rutkowski
2013/10/14 Ludovico Cavedon cave...@debian.org

I am going to reassign the bug. It seems to be fixed in version 1.4-1.
Howevever, it might not swill work because of
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=725665

I'm afraid the problem still occurs after upgrading to python-nautilus
1.1-4. Now the error is:
ImportError: could not import gobject (could not find _PyGObject_API object)

Creating the symlink doesn't help anymore.

2013-09-29 Thread Rafał Rutkowski
Package: tortoisehg-nautilus
Version: 2.9-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
tortoisehg nautilus extension doesn't work at all on my system. The
following
error occurs when starting nautilus:
ImportError: could not import gobject (error was: '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
/libpyglib-gi-2.0-python2.7.so.0: undefined symbol: _Py_ZeroStruct')

Creating a symlink of
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpython2.7.so.1.0
in /usr/lib fixes the issue.

Bug#660157: gnome-shell: does not display system tray icon of a java application

2012-05-03 Thread Rafał Rutkowski
The issue got improved after upgrading the system (Debian Testing):
gnome-shell: 3.2.2.1-2
java:openjdk-6-jre 6b24-1.11.1-3

The icon now appears. It has a correct tooltip (Serviio), but
incorrect caption (JavaEmbeddedFrame). The menu is partially hidden
behind the semi-transparent tray but all the menu items are clickable.

Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
gnome-shell fails to display properly tray icon of a wine application.
Tested on utorrent 2.0.4 (Preferences/UI Settings/'Always show tray icon' must
be checked).
Instead of the tray icon, a black square with a caption 'Wine' is displayed.
It does not respond to mouse clicks.

The GNOME Classic mode is not affected by this bug.

My version of wine is 1.0.1-3.5 from debian-testing.

Many thanks,

2012-02-16 Thread Rafał Rutkowski
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.2.2.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
gnome-shell does not display system tray icon of a java application.
Tested on serviio 0.6.2.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run serviio-0.6.2/bin/serviio.sh
2. Run serviio-0.6.2/bin/serviio-console.sh
3. Wait until the console window appears.
At this point the system tray icon should also appear. It does not in gnome-
shell.

The GNOME Classic mode is not affected by this bug.

My version of java is sun-java6-jre 6.26-3 from debian-testing.

Many thanks,

Bug#404356: iceweasel: ICEWEASEL_DSP set to none; therefore no sound when soundcard is busy; user cannot override it

2006-12-23 Thread Rafał Rutkowski

Package: iceweasel
Version: 2.0+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***
The ICEWEASEL_DSP variable is set to none in the
/etc/iceweasel/iceweaselrc file. It causes that the browser won't
produce any sound if the soundcard is busy. However the man page
states, that auto is the default value for this variable.

Another problem is that the /usr/bin/iceweasel script is constructed in
a way that the user cannot use his own value of the ICEWEASEL_DSP
variable; it is always overriden by the value from the rc file.
Is the following fragment (line 49) correct?
  if [ -z ${ICEWEASEL_DSP} ] ; then
  RUNTIME_ICEWEASEL_DSP=${ICEWEASEL_DSP}
  fi
Shouldn't it be
  if [ ${ICEWEASEL_DSP} ] ; then
  RUNTIME_ICEWEASEL_DSP=${ICEWEASEL_DSP}
  fi
?

Bug#394663: lirc: daemon quits when a client tries to connect

This is the hint - it should be looking at /dev/lirc0, not UNCONFIGURED.

However, if the daemon is started manually by invoking
lircd --device=/dev/lirc0
(as root), everything works fine.

This is because you haven't yet configured lircd.conf or hardware.conf.
It is arguably a flaw in lirc that it will start without knowing what
hardware to talk to, but it's a design flaw, rather than a bug.

That's it. A line
  DEVICE=UNCONFIGURED
appeared in the hardware.conf file after the update. I don't know how I
could have missed it. It wasn't there before the 0.8 version, that's for
sure. Removing the line makes the init script use the /dev/lirc0 device
and solves the problem. And the problem was obviously no bug :)

Thank you for your time
