Bug#1034629: pdf-presenter-console: pdfpc terminates with symbol lookup error

2023-04-22 Thread Robert Jäschke

Dear Jochen,

Am 22.04.23 um 14:12 schrieb Jochen Sprickerhof:
I don't have this in my ldd output and I don't find the file in Debian.
Can you try moving it away and see if it helps?

Thank you, that helped! Some packages from deb-multimedia.org were
lurking around and they caused the trouble. After removing them I can
use pdfpc again.

Best regards,
Robert

Bug#1033355: openrefine: Command line option -m is ignored

2023-03-23 Thread Robert Jäschke
Package: openrefine
Version: 3.6.2-1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: jaesc...@l3s.de

Dear Maintainer,

The script to start Openrefine ignores the option -m to set the max
memory heap size to use. After starting "openrefine -m 8000M" I get
the following command line:

/usr/bin/java -cp server/classes:server/* -Xms1400M -Xmx1400M
-Drefine.memory=1400M -Drefine.max_form_content_size=1048576
-Drefine.verbosity=info -Dpython.path=main/webapp/WEB-INF/lib/jython
-Dpython.cachedir=/home//.local/share/google/refine/cachedir
-Drefine.webapp=main/webapp -Drefine.port= -Drefine.interface=127.0.0.1
-Drefine.host=127.0.0.1 com.google.refine.Refine

Thus, the command line option is ignored and instead all three
relevant options (-Xms, -Xmx, -Drefine.memory) are set to 1400M as
defined in /etc/openrefine/refine.ini:

# Maximum JVM heap (memory) and max form size allocations
#REFINE_MAX_FORM_CONTENT_SIZE=1048576
REFINE_MEMORY=1400M

# Initial (and minimum) size of Java heap
REFINE_MIN_MEMORY=1400M

I think the problem is that /usr/share/openrefine/refine first parses
the command line args and then loads refine.ini which overwrites the
just set variables. Changing the order should solve the problem.

Best regards,
Robert

Bug#1022760: openrefine: localhost:3333 returns HTTP ERROR 404 Not Found

2023-03-23 Thread Robert Jäschke

Dear Markus,

I found the problem: the package misses a dependency to libjoda-time-java.

I created a simple log4j.properties file and then run openrefine
manually with a modified classpath that included the directory that
contained the log4j.properties file (/tmp/or in my case):

java \
  -cp server/classes:server/*:/tmp/or \
  -Xms1400M \
  -Xmx1400M \
  -Drefine.memory=1400M \
  -Drefine.max_form_content_size=1048576 \
  -Drefine.verbosity=info \
  -Dpython.path=main/webapp/WEB-INF/lib/jython \
  -Dpython.cachedir=/home//.local/share/google/refine/cachedir \
  -Drefine.webapp=main/webapp \
  -Drefine.port= \
  -Drefine.interface=127.0.0.1 \
  -Drefine.host=127.0.0.1 com.google.refine.Refine

Then I got the following output:

Sorry, I forgot to add this:

I've upgraded (lib)rhino after reading the bug report but this did not help.

Is there a way to debug Openrefine? I tried both -v debug and -v trace
but did not get more output (Maybe I have to configure log4j properly as
the warning suggests?)

Bug#863264: enigmail: after icedove->thunderbird migration enigmail still depends on icedove package

2017-05-24 Thread Robert Jäschke
Package: enigmail
Version: 2:1.8.2-4~deb8u1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

After the migration from Icedove to Thunderbird, the enigmail package still
depends on Icedove. That means, deinstalling the icedove package deinstalls
enigmail and installing enigmail then again requires installation of Icedove:

> LC_ALL=C sudo apt-get remove icedove

This is not a big issue, since Thunderbird also works with the icedove package,
but it is a bit annoying, since Thunderbird is then named "Icedove ->
Thunderbird" in the GUI.

Bug#763582: apache2: Apache2 cannot run CGI scripts in jessie

2014-11-08 Thread Robert Jäschke
Package: apache2
Followup-For: Bug #763582

Dear Maintainer,

Today I investigated the problem again and could solve it for me:

1. I moved my configuration file from /etc/apache2/sites-enabled to
/etc/apache2/conf-enabled
2. I renamed the configuration file from home_rja to home_rja.conf
3. I changed the configuration to
ScriptAlias /~rja/cgi-bin/ /home/rja/public_html/cgi-bin/
Directory /home/rja/public_html/cgi-bin
 AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl
 AllowOverride None
 Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch +ExecCGI
 Require all granted
/Directory
which basically included a) removing the quotation marks in the ScriptAlias
directive and b) removing the trailing slash in the Directory directive.

I am not sure, which of the three changes caused the disappearance of the
problem, but now the CGI scripts are executed and not served in plain text.

Bug#763582: apache2: Apache2 cannot run CGI scripts in jessie

2014-10-29 Thread Robert Jäschke
Package: apache2
Version: 2.4.10-5
Followup-For: Bug #763582

Dear Maintainer,

I upgraded from wheezy to jessie and now my Perl-based CGI scripts don't work.
I followed many suggestions to improve and upgrade my config and finally came
up with the following content in my sites-enabled/my_home.conf file:

# allow CGI scripts for user rja
ScriptAlias /~rja/cgi-bin/ /home/rja/public_html/cgi-bin/
Directory /home/rja/public_html/cgi-bin/
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl
AllowOverride None
Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch +ExecCGI
Require all granted
/Directory

Unfortunately, CGI scripts are still not executed: the browser always
downloads/shows the plain source code of the script.

mod_cgid and mod_perl are both installed and enabled.

This seems to be related to this bug, I hope it's not a configuration error on
my side.
