Bug#748244: Severity change?

2015-04-24 Thread Robin Sheat
Op 25/04/15 om 03:34 schreef Bdale Garbee:
Out of curiosity, why is uscan trying to remove files from a tarball to
start with? That seems way out of scope for a program that supposedly
helps look for new upstream releases of software.

uscan also makes the .orig.tar.gz, and if there are files excluded from
the upstream tarball due to copyright reasons, it makes the dfsg version
which requires rebuilding the archive.

Here is the email thread where it bit me:

Bug#777515: idzebra-2.0: Issue with ICU token processing

2015-02-08 Thread Robin Sheat
Package: idzebra-2.0
Version: 2.0.59-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Zebra 2.0.59 has an issue where search queries involving hyphens are
tokenised, but only the first token is used for searching. So a search
for Mont-Royal will actually just be a search for Mont. Or a search
for up-to-date will just be a search for up. This is the case even
when trying to use ICU transformation/transliteration rules to remove
the hyphen before tokenising.

2.0.60 has been released with this fixed. It is also probably possible
to backport the patch:

http://git.indexdata.com/?p=idzebra.git;a=commit;h=704fd190292cb771df94553b0ed6f9f4b71660a6

http://git.indexdata.com/?p=idzebra.git;a=commitdiff;h=b51184e7cf9eabd2c609f50f721d6568351fbc33

CGI::Compress::Gzip extends the CGI module to auto-detect whether the

CGI.pm.

Apache mod_perl users may wish to consider the Apache::Compress or
Apache::GzipChain modules, which allow more transparent output
compression than this module can provide. However, as of this writing
those modules are more aggressive about compressing, regardless of
Content-Type.

Bug#591307: Files

2010-08-01 Thread Robin Sheat
There are two files referenced on the command line that will hopefully
aid in testing, these are attached. The tar.gz file is
the /tmp/7Ani4VJHOz directory referenced on the command line, the other
file is the zebra config.

The versions of zebra and yaz in the squeeze repo found at

2010-06-29 Thread Robin Sheat
Just adding to this: we have packages in the process of being made.
Although they're not really ready for inclusion in Debian proper just
yet, this is something we're looking to do eventually.

The packages as they are now can be found here:

Bug#524808: openvpn exits instead of restarting connection

2009-04-19 Thread Robin Sheat
Package: openvpn
Version: 2.1~rc11-1
Severity: important

OpenVPN is being used to connect a remote server to a LAN. Sometimes the
internet connectivity will go down for a little bit, and OpenVPN will
try to reconnect. This reconnection happens fine, but OpenVPN attempts
to reconfigure the routes (or something) and this fails, and it exits.

It's quite important in many cases that openvpn does not stop running.

syslog of this happening:

2009-04-16 Thread Robin Sheat
This would be quite handy for having puppet ensure that openvpn is running.
Also, it isn't LSB compliant without a status action, fwiw.

I'd test more, but I'm working on the puppet config at the moment, and
switching between cron and daemon too much becomes problematic when I'm doing
that. But I did see a huge number of CLOSE_WAITs that I'm confident were with
this version. Note that it doesn't always seem to come up. For example, I see
it on a set of openvz servers that are on the same hardware node as the
master, but I didn't see any when configuring an EC2 server talking to the
same puppetmaster, but over the internet (via vpn). However, the EC2 server
only had a generic configuration, so it's not conclusive.

Bug#502193: the other end went away puppet warnings are symptoms of a nasty bug

2009-03-22 Thread Robin Sheat
I have puppet managing a handful of VMs, and see this other end went away
error a lot. As noted in #64, it leaves a lot of CLOSE_WAIT connections lying
around. Before long, these fill up the connection table make it very difficult
to SSH into the machine to repair.

My current workaround is a cron job that does a puppet restart daily, this
obviously isn't an ideal solution.

Bug#502193: keepalive

2009-03-22 Thread Robin Sheat
According to this upstream bug report, this error should go away if
you disable keepalive. http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/ticket/944
Can you test and report back?

I am unable to find an option that would allow keepalive to be configured.
Neither manpages nor the output of puppetd/puppetmasterd --genconfig
references it.

Testing against Ubuntu wireshark over remote X, it doesn't seem to be a
