Bug#589914: Crash after upgrading from bugzilla 3.2 to 3.4.1

2010-07-22 Thread Roman Cheplyaka
Raphael: thank you for your suggestion and linked bug. Now I re-upgraded
bugzilla3 (I downgraded it when I saw the bug) and everything worked. So
it looks like the problem was caused by the absense of libdatetime-perl
at the time I upgraded bugzilla. I.e. it is caused by #589912.

However, there was no inconsistent state. Here's excerpt from

Bug#589419: audacity: hangs when playing recorded file

2010-07-17 Thread Roman Cheplyaka
Package: audacity
Version: 1.3.12-4
Severity: normal

I have no evidence that this bug is the same as already reported, so
filing a new bug.

So, I managed to hang audacity. I recorded a sound using microphone and then
tried to play it -- and it hung (without playing anything).

If I kill audacity, then run it again, recover the project and play it
again -- it hangs again.

strace indicates that it is hanging on some mutex:
Process 16893 attached - interrupt to quit
futex(0xa9f3ad0, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 2, NULL

I have prepared a core dump of the process, you can get it here:

Bug#584991: sim: plays unsolicited music on start

2010-06-08 Thread Roman Cheplyaka
Package: sim
Version: 0.9.5~svn20080806-1
Severity: normal

sim plays some music on start. This is very annoying, besides:
1. This functionality is not related to its main function as IM client
2. User does not expect any music when just launching an IM client
3. The music cannot be easily turned off

In my opinion this feature definitely should be disabled.

I don't think so. tuxonice-binary-signature.bin is in Hibernate

Indeed. Then it seems to be a duplicate of #482815 which is one year

Bug#471450: kdm: does not pass exported environment variables to programs

2008-03-18 Thread Roman Cheplyaka
Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2
Severity: normal

Here's my setup:

~/.environment:
export PATH=/home/feuerbach/bin:$PATH

~/.xsession:
source ~/.environment
pgrep fetchmail || fetchmail

In ~/.fetchmailrc I have MDA set to 'mda', that is, my script located in
~/bin/mda. This perfectly worked with xdm, but when I started to use
kdm, fetchmail can't find 'mda'. So I make the conclusion that kdm does
not pass exported PATH variable to fetchmail.

(In this particular case I can write down the full path to mda, but
anyway this behaviour does not seem correct for me.)
