Bug#788187: Missing option for icinga2 on configure backend

2015-06-09 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingcorpse' Darrud
Package: nagvis
Version: 1.7.10+dfsg1-3

When the configure backend prompt appears after installing nagivs, there is
no option to configure it to use Icinga2 as a backend and the user is
forced to select other and then configure the backend manually.

The fix is to add the path to icinga2's livestatus socket as an option:
name: icinga2
path: /var/run/icinga2/cmd/livestatus

I'm using Debian Jessie 8.1, 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt11-1
(2015-05-24) x86_64 GNU/Linux with icinga2 package from debmon:
icinga2_2.3.4-3~debmon80+1_amd64

Bug#661935: (no subject)

2012-06-04 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingcorpse' Darrud
Hi Thomas,

I did specify the parameter's if my memory serves me right, it's been a
while.

I came across the bug when trying to add more distro's for submitting a
patch. The issue is that noarch rpm's are unavailable, as the function does
not look for alternative location than the $ARCH folder, even though they
are required for some distro's, ie with the mirror list's for zypper and
yum, some php, python and perl modules, etc.

Seeing that rinse is updated, it might have been resolved with a different
approach than the ones I tried, meaning this bug can be closed.

Bug#661931: rinse: Wrong repo URL for opensuse 11.1 i386 + the earlier opensuse mirrors no longer valid

2012-03-02 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingCorpse' Darrud
Package: rinse
Version: 1.9.1-1
Severity: normal

The mirror URL for opensuse 11.1 i386 is wrong.
Original: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/suse/i686/
Correct: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/suse/i586/

The mirror URL's for opensuse 10.1, opensuse 10.2, opensuse 10.3 and opensuse
11.0 are no longer present on the official site.

Immediately I was unable to find alternative mirrors, maybe the options should
be flagged as requires a local repository for packages instead (via mounting
ISO or similar).

Bug#661932: rinse: Support for newer versions of rhel and opensuse

2012-03-02 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingCorpse' Darrud
Package: rinse
Version: 1.9.1-1
Severity: wishlist

There have been many months since opensuse 12.1 arrived, thus leading to the
question that maybe there's time to update the list of supported distributions

Myself I'd like to see support for the following:
- opensuse 12.1
- rhel 6

Maybe some documents on how to add new distributions too?
Eg:
- Repo URLs can be found in /etc/rinse/rinse.con
- Packages can be found in /etc/rinse/distribution.package
- A required folder named the same as the distribution must exist
in /usr/lib/rinse/ for the new distribution to show as a valid
option in rinse. Post installation hooks are normally found in
this folder, see one of the existing folders (opensuse 11.1) for
  examples.

2012-03-02 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingCorpse' Darrud

Bug#661935: rinse: Support for looking in noarch if not found under the main mirrors

2012-03-02 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingCorpse' Darrud
Package: rinse
Version: 1.9.1-1

Packages needed for normal installations that are noarch, like boost-license

have support for retrieving from a noarch repository, affecting the
installation with Harmless error messages.

An example of this is with opensuse 11.1 via rinse, that yields the following

Bug#661934: Update opensuse mirrors with these repo URL's

2012-03-02 Thread Rune 'TheFlyingcorpse' Darrud
In /etc/rinse/rinse.conf
Replace existing with the following:

[opensuse 10.1]
mirror =
http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.opensuse.org/discontinued/SL-10.1/inst-source/suse/i686/
mirror.amd64 =
http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.opensuse.org/discontinued/SL-10.1/inst-source/suse/x86_64/

[opensuse 10.2]
mirror =
http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.opensuse.org/discontinued/10.2/repo/oss/suse/i586/
mirror.amd64 =
http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.opensuse.org/discontinued/10.2/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/

[opensuse 10.3]
mirror =
http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.opensuse.org/discontinued/10.3/repo/oss/suse/i586/
mirror.amd64 =
http://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.opensuse.org/discontinued/10.3/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/

[opensuse 11.0] - unable to find alternative repo, maybe delete it from
supported, or point to get the user to find a working repo instead, ie
local media (as the rhel-5 does)
