Bug#1027280: mldonkey-server: mldonkey is missing from the repositories.

2022-12-29 Thread Sebastien CHAVAUX
Package: mldonkey-server
Severity: wishlist
Tags: ftbfs

Dear Maintainer,

* Mldonkey has been missing since Buster,
* It is impossible for the moment to make the package from the sources, I have
this result:

make[2]: *** [Makefile:5479: src/utils/cdk/zlibstubs.o] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory '/build/mldonkey-3.1.7'
make[1]: *** [debian/rules:40: override_dh_auto_build] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory '/build/mldonkey-3.1.7'
make: *** [debian/rules:17: binary] Error 2
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit
status 2
I: copying local configuration
E: Failed autobuilding of package

Could we have it for Debian 12?

Sincerely, Seb.

Bug#1021364: RFS: ghostwriter/2.2.0-1 [RC] -- Distraction-free, themeable Markdown editor

2022-12-20 Thread Sebastien Chavaux
Hello Aurelien :-)

For the integration of Ghostwriter in the scope of the Qt/KDE packaging
team, I agree, no worries, I also had the case at openSUSE and I'm looking
how I could in the following days, pass all that on to Debian as well.

As for gitlab, I have trouble communicating with it, I can't even do that
from my terminal anymore, I have a legal problem, so I do everything from
the risky web interface. I more or less gave up on the git business. But I
will give you the rights.

I haven't worked with the repository long enough, I work directly from home
and a folder. I would like to help in other packages but again I stumble on
the use of gitlab.

I'll try to free up time to make the changes but it's not said. I don't
have any Debian around right now.

Best regards.

I just tested on my side, with version 2.0.2 available in Sid and

Can you say more about your concern? Are there any pictures in the file?
Is it just a file with text?

Is it possible to ask yourself if you have a file available
(non-personal) that does not work and that I could test on my side?

Best regards.

Thank you first of all. So it's not that I don't want to maintain git /
salsa, it's that I'm not comfortable with it, should do a remedial course
on it.

I will see how to define the same list of architectures as qtwebengine5. I
watch this and do it after work.

Hello,

"The actual changelog is: << "\ n \ n \ n", with two entries. The older
one has

never been in Debian, and it doesn't appear to have a special reason to
keep its entry. It'd be good if you could delete it."

The entry of version 2.0.0 was a leftover, I had done it for myself,
suddenly I am deleting it.

"A more serious problem, however, is the mess caused by adding a menu
entry. Thisdoes not work (not a valid xpm, etc.), and in window managers
thatsupport it, it will show duplicate - because the .desktop file is
also present.Could you please drop it again? It has been obsolete for ages."

The file is deleted.

Thank you for sharing.
Cordialy.

Bug#976052: RFP: zola -- Zola is a static site generator (SSG).

2020-11-28 Thread Sebastien CHAVAUX
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: zola
  Version : 0.12.2
  Upstream Author : Vincent Prouillet
* URL : https://github.com/getzola/zola
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Rust
Description : An opinionated static site generator.

Zola is a static site generator (SSG), similar to Hugo, Pelican, and Jekyll. It
is written in Rust and uses the Tera template engine, which is similar to
Jinja2, Django templates, Liquid, and Twig. Content is written in CommonMark, a
strongly defined, highly compatible specification of Markdown

It is a good alternative to Hugo.
I would like to maintain it, currently I'm leaning to pack it, if someone can
give me a hand, I'm not against.

Bug#947931: RM: ghostwriter [armel mips64el ppc64el s390x] -- RoQA; ANAIS

2020-01-02 Thread Sebastien CHAVAUX

Hello,

I don't mind that you made the request. From what I understood is that
the dependence is not on all architectures and that therefore
Ghostwriter can no longer be on the architectures concerned.

So for the Ghostwriter package, what will happen?

Best regards.

Hi,

The binary package ghostwriter can't be built on these architectures
due to missing build-dependency qtwebengine5-dev.

With this removal, ghostwriter 1.8.0-2 should be able to migrate from
unstable to testing.

Sebastien, I hope you don't mind that I have filed this one for you.
The tracker https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/ghostwriter indicates your
package can't go to testing: it's a regression that the binaries for
some of the architectures do not exist in the new version. It can be
fixed by requesting a removal per https://wiki.debian.org/ftpmaster_Removals.

Dear Maintainer,

Since upgrading to Debian 10, Windows does not see my Upnp network. I can no
longer play videos and other multimedia files that are made available from my
many Dlna servers.

On my PC under Debian 10, I have a Minidlna server visible from all over the

also have a Dlna multimedia server, but I do not see anything on my Debian PC

When I run via a terminal it gives me this:

This issue looks like it could be caused by #935709 in pupnp-1.8.

It looks like the bug I sent a few months ago at openSUSE for the same thing:
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132829

If I use the Vlc flatpack it works and I can see the Dlna servers.

If you need more information, I will do my best to give it.

Bug#932460: vlc: UPNP does not work in VLC

2019-07-19 Thread Sebastien CHAVAUX
Package: vlc
Version: 3.0.7-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Since upgrading to Debian 10, Windows does not see my Upnp network. I can no
longer play videos and other multimedia files that are made available from my
many Dlna servers.

On my PC under Debian 10, I have a Minidlna server visible from all over the
house on all my devices (TV, dlna player, PC with Debian 9 via Vlc, ...) and I
also have a Dlna multimedia server, but I do not see anything on my Debian PC
10 with Vlc.

When I run via a terminal it gives me this:

Bug#818366: synaptic: fails to start under Wayland

2019-04-01 Thread Sebastien CHAVAUX

Hello everyone,

Let me give my opinion, I think that Synaptic is a graphical manager
that is important and used a lot, not having synaptic would cause a lot
of worries and discontent, removed the part of repair facility that
Debian was too big to bring .

Why not make a conflict with Wayland / Gnome? It's not possible to make
sure that synaptic installs on a conflict that would remove Wayland?

This is a mistake.

I also think it has had an impact on the GNOME / Wayland user, but not
on XFCE or other offices that have been long-term thinking and have not
changed. Why are we deprived of part of the user?

Thank you in advance hoping not to attract the wrath.

Would you have any changes other than to stake a claim? It's pretty
pointless to make an upload only to change the Maintainer field.

Package ghostwriter version 1.7.3-1 is in NEW now,
and the package at mentors is not newer (2018-10-14) than the package in
NEW (2018-10-14),
so there is currently no package to sponsor.

https://ftp-master.debian.org/new/ghostwriter_1.7.3-1.html
https://mentors.debian.net/package/ghostwriter

Please remove the package from mentors or mark it "needs sponsor = no".
If for some reason you need to replace the package in NEW,
then you can upload an updated package to mentors
and feel free to reopen this RFS 910913 or open a new RFS.

I am still interested in this package but I admit I am not strong enough
to understand all the steps to propose the package site.

There are basically 2 ways when we don't know a specific mentor who can
help to upload the package:
1. toggle the "need a sponsor" setting at mentors.d.n once you uploaded
the package, so that it's listed on the main page.
2. send a Request for Sponsor to sponsorship-requests the same way you
sent this ITP to wnpp.

However, since there has been new upstream releases, we need to get the
new version into a good shape for upload. Let me know if there is
anything I can help.

Cheers

Programming Lang: C, C++, HTML, CSS, QMake, Objective-c++, other...
Description : A distraction-free Markdown editor for Windows and Linux

Distraction-free, themeable Markdown editor
ghostwriter is a Markdown editor that provides a themable,
distraction-free writing environment, along with a live HTML
preview as you type, easy document navigation with an outline HUD,
and export to popular document formats with Sundown, Pandoc,
MultiMarkdown, Discount or cmark processors. It also features a
live word count and auto-save. Eliminate distractions in
fullscreen mode, or concentrate on the current text you are writing
in focus mode. It even remembers your last opened file and position
within the file, so you can pick up where you last left off.

I use this software to write comfortably in markdown, it is very comfortable,
easy to use. It has a lot of functions:

   * HUD windows can now be closed using the Esc key when they have focus.
   * A new option has been added to highlight double spaces at the end of a
line.
   * Github-style task lists can be made using the * and + bullet point
characters, in addition to the - character.
   * Support for ConTeXt and wkhtmltopdf Pandoc has been added.
   * Auto-matching characters for selected text now respects the matching
preferences while typing without text selected.
   * Typing a single quote (') will no longer result in a second quote being
automatically inserted after the cursor if the cursor is in the middle of a
word.
   * Most settings have been moved to a new preferences.
   * Font size can now be increased by pressing Ctrl + = or decreased by
pressing Ctrl + -. It can also be changed by using Ctrl and the mouse wheel.
   * When exporting to other file formats, the output file will be opened after
export with its default application.
   * E-books created using Pandoc will also be generated with a table of
contents.
   * When passing in a path through the command line, a new file will be
created.
   * When typing a * character, ghostwriter would auto-insert a second *
character in anticipation of emphasized text. The auto-inserted second * will
be removed if a space is typed to accommodate a bullet list instead.
   * Rudimentary support for HiDPI has been added. See notes below.
   * Various performance enhancements and tweaks have been made under the hood.

It can be compared to retext https://lwn.net/Articles/686879/, but with a much
larger look and function.
I would like to maintain it even though I have no skills in packaging, maybe in
a team, or with a co-maintainer, I would need a particular help or a sponsor, I
have light knowledge in Debian package. The package works at home, rebuilding
from the source package of ubuntu with builddepends of Debian 9.
Cordially

Description : Write an ISO file to multiple USB devices at once

the long description:
GNOME MultiWriter can be used to write an ISO file to multiple USB
devices at

once. Supported drive sizes are between 1Gb and 32Gb.

MultiWriter may be useful for QA testing, to create a GNOME Live image for a
code sprint or to create hundreds of LiveUSB drives for a trade show.

https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/MultiWriter
https://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2015/01/02/introducing-gnome-multiwriter/

This program allows multiple copies of one or more iso on USB key . Very
convenient to burn Debian isos and make propaganda.

Once packed , I want to help maintain it, since I 'm already on another
distribution, or at least I put it a day locally and I spec shipments
(that's

the RPM). I 'm still not very suitable to build a DEB package format, I know
hardly put a level ) .

Thank you in advance
