Bug#766918: python-electrum: No need to depend on python-qt4

2014-10-26 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: python-electrum
Version: 1.9.8-2
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Currently electrum/python-electrum depends on python-qt4 which pull in a
bunch of QT libraries. It is possible to use electrum from the command-line
and one of the common use-cases is running electrum from an USB key in a
sign-only mode for an offline wallet. In such an instance, using the GUI is
not necessary. Could the QT dependency be brought down to a Recommends?

Cheers,
shane

Bug#723023: clonezilla: Missing Depends

2013-09-15 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: clonezilla
Version: 3.5.2-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I just installed clonezilla on a Debian rescue system to clone over a disk to a
Samba drive. In doing this, I had to install a few packages which you may
consider bringing in via Depends, Recommends and Suggests.

Depends:
file: Called by the script at various points
pigz: default compression. Arguably, clonezilla should check its presence and
not set it as default if it doesn't exist but there it is. Clones fail without
this in beginner mode.
Recommends:
partclone: Primary cloning utility for clonezilla. We need this for ntfs
partimage: for unsupported filesystems
Suggests:
openssh-client: clonezilla can transfer images over ssh
cifs-utils: for mounting CIFS file shares for image transfer

Bug#524517: ITP: cachefilesd -- CACHE ON ALREADY MOUNTED FILESYSTEM

2009-04-17 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Shane Wegner

* Package name: cachefilesd
  Version : 0.9
  Upstream Author : David Howells
* URL : http://people.redhat.com/~dhowells/fscache/
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: C
Description : Support fscache ON ALREADY MOUNTED FILESYSTEM

FSCache is a generic caching manager in the Linux kernel which can be used
by network and other filesystems to cache data locally.

CacheFiles is an FSCache backend that's meant to use as a cache a directory on
an already mounted filesystem of a local type (such as Ext3). This package
installs the userspace support required by the cachefiles backend.

Bug#519505: clamav-milter: Add option to skip scanning of authenticated smtp users

2009-03-12 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: clamav-milter
Version: 0.94.dfsg-2
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

When Sendmail is acting as a SmartHost, it is useful to skip scanning when
the connection is authenticated. This patch adds the --no-scan-auth option
to do this (off by default).

Bug#505038: kernel-package: Does not include complete asm tree in linux-headers

2008-11-08 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: kernel-package
Version: 11.0011
Severity: normal

Hi,

Not sure if this is a bug in kernel-package or the kernel so feel free to
close if I am off-base. On recent kernels (2.6.28-rc) they've moved most of
include/asm-(arch) into arch/(arch)/include which don't seem to get included
in linux-headers package. So, when an external module goes to include say
linux/types.h which in turn includes asm/types.h, that file doesn't exist.

Bug#480309: freevo: Bug is in pygame

2008-05-12 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: freevo
Followup-For: Bug #480309

Had this problem as well. Appears to be limited to amd64 machines and the
source is in the pygame package. Patch to pygame is below and included in
freevo SVN branch for v1.x. Recompiled pygame after removing python 2.4
deps as the patch seems to depend on v2.5 and all is working here.

Bug#454342: asterisk: tos-libcap patch is broken

2007-12-04 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: asterisk
Version: 1:1.4.13~dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Was getting the following error in my Asterisk log:
[Dec 4 09:49:18] WARNING[5787] rtp.c: Unable to set TOS to 184

Some poking around the tree and it looks like though the tos-libcap patch is
getting applied, that patch depends on
#define HAVE_CAP 1

somewhere in the build process. I dropped it in at the top of
main/asterisk.c where the actual capability code sits and it fixed my
problem. Probably best to do it using autoheader in autoconf.h.in though.

Best,
Shane

Bug#443210: exim4-config: Debconf doesn't prompt for dc_relay_domains when dc_mailtype is smarthost

2007-09-19 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: exim4-config
Version: 4.67-8
Severity: normal

When smarthost is selected for delivery type, we never get prompted for
dc_relay_domains. If dc_relay_domains was set previously as in the case the
server used direct SMTP and now uses a SmartHost, it is not possible to
change or clear dc_relay_domains via DebConf.

Our setup delivers email to a SmartHost by default and to domains we relay
for via direct SMTP.

Bug#339362: php5-pgsql: pgsql extension crashes apache2

2005-11-15 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: php5-pgsql
Version: 5.0.5-3
Severity: important

I am attempting to upgrade from apache 1 to 2 and am getting a segfault in
apache2
when the pgsql.so php5 extension is loaded. This occurs regardless of which
other php extensions are loaded and occurs when pgsql.so is the only
extention enabled. The segfault is not on startup but rather in the child
process and only occurs on a page which uses the pg functions.

note: php5-pgsql with apache 1.x works fine.

If I can be of any further assistance in tracking this down, please let me
know.

Shane

Bug#307426: kernel-image-2.6.11-1-686-smp: Does not include Moxa SmartIO support

2005-05-02 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: kernel-image-2.6.11-1-686-smp

Hello,

Debian smp kernels > 2.6.10 can probably safely enable CONFIG_MOXA_SMARTIO
(mxser module) as it is no longer broken on smp systems.

Thanks,
Shane

Bug#299130: lynx: SSL problem logging into website

2005-03-11 Thread Shane Wegner
Package: lynx
Version: 2.8.5-2
Severity: normal

I recently upgraded from lynx-ssl to lynx 2.8.5-2. Though I am able to log
onto many ssl sites with a common name nag, I am no longer able to login to
my account at www.americanexpress.ca. To reproduce, go to
www.americanexpress.ca, enter any username and password and hit the go
button. It gives an ssl connect error over here. Reverting to the old
lynx-ssl fixes the problem. Here's a partial trace.
