Package: weechat Followup-For: Bug #1052506 The crashes are likely fixed in weechat 4.0.4. You can install it yourself from the weechat homepage, they provide debian packages. The package in debian is out of date most of the time.
Test if the problem exists in newer version of weechat and if not, then just keep using the upstream weechat version. If it still crashes, then report the bug upstream instead.
