So instead of the bus numbers we should be using the device GUIDs, which can be retrieved from the 'device_id' sysfs attribute. That doesn't seem to handle network interfaces though. That said, this doesn't look like a Debian specific problem. So it's probably best if you raise this upstream at https://github.com/systemd/systemd -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?

Bug#810247: Hyper-V network adapters are mapped to a different interface (ethN) on every boot
Fixing this in udev will cause issues like reported in #431190. The persistent-net udev rules are not created in virtual environments to avoid issues with cloning/migrating VMs. I was also unable to reproduce the issue on a VMware ESX server VM, despite the fact that no net udev rules are created. And why it happens with Hyper-V only in kernel 3.16, not 3.2 or 4.2?

Bug#540701: Questions and patches: new official Debian package for wbar
Hello That's all for now Check the new release 2.3.2 Regards 2012/9/8 Markus Koschany a...@gambaru.de: On 07.09.2012 05:01, Rodolfo Granata wrote: Hey Markus, * Added wbar.png back * Updated make-conf.sh to take multiple search directories * I wanna keep the font even though it may not exist, if I'm not mistaken, wbar will start anyway and it will get a default if it does. * Added your latest patches. * removed the debian dir. TODO: promote wbar-config. Hi Rodolfo, thank you! I think i'm really done now. We need a new release. :) I've updated the README and added some paragraphs about wbar-config and make-conf.sh and removed some old lines and cleaned up a little. Patch is attached, let me know what you think about it. Forget about my suggestion to reintroduce the old icons. Although i know about the original authors now, it is much easier if i handle a default configuration by myself within the Debian system. It also makes the source package of wbar smaller and easier to maintain if you don't have to bother with external ressources. I've checked the fonts again and indeed, it seems wbar will start anyway even without a correct font path. Done! I've discovered another typo in wbar-config (licence - license) and the version of wbar-config should be updated to 2.3.2 for your next release) And it was necessary to patch Makefile.am in the pixmaps folder to copy wbar.png to the right place again. Patch is attached. Last but not least: The COPYING file states that Wbar is licensed under the GPL-2+ (the + is important) which means you grant everyone the right to redistribute and modify wbar either under the GPL-2 or any later version. I personally think that's a good idea, but i wanted to ask again if that's your intention. If yes, great, no changes are needed but i guess you should change the license on the official homepage, too. That's all for now Regards Markus -- Ing. Bug#609982: xen-tools: btrfs support for domU creation is broken
Package: xen-tools Version: 4.2-1 Severity: normal Support for domU creation using btrfs is broken. If you try to use it (--fs btrfs), xen-create-image exits with the message: The filesystem creation hash is bogus for filesystem : btrfs The problem lies in this check (line 3382): if ( $command =~ /([^ ]+) (.*)$/ ) This supposes that $command will conform to command -o option, but $CONFIG{make_fs_btrfs} is defined thus: $CONFIG{ 'make_fs_btrfs' }= 'mkfs.btrfs'; And it fails. I've fixed it changing mkfs.btrfs for mkfs.btrfs -d single, which is the nearest to a no-op that I've found :-) Ideally, though, the check above should be made a little more intelligent so it picked up mkfs.btrfs without arguments too. Bug#485864: mysql-query-browser: apply patch ?
Well merged, it is the same problem, sorry for duplicating. Loking at the suggested patch [1] it enters on an infinite loop, this is why the 100% of CPU. Also I run the test to see when the program is on deadlock: * Start using a default schema - deadlock * Select an schema executing use databasename; - deadlock * Select an schema with the UI - deadlock * Using UI: File / Select schema / Choose / Ok - deadlock * Executing select user, host from mysql.user ; - works ok The patch only disable the pause at the MQQueryDispatcher::get_sps method, the patch should try to escape from the infinite loop after a timeout or something, the line is: while(!req-is_complete()) ; req is defined as an object from the class SPFetchRequest wich is an inherith class from MQQueryDispatcher::Request wich define the method is_complete as: bool is_complete() const { return complete; } I don't use C++ for a while but I don't see any problem but complete property is never changed. The method before MQQueryDispatcher::get_tables has the same procedure but commented like this: //while(!req-is_complete()) // ; I don't know if commenting while(!req-is_complete()) this is wright or wrong, it seems to work.
