Bug#604146: unblock: liboauth-ruby/0.4.4-2, libtwitter-ruby/0.6.0-1
Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock libtwitter-ruby/0.6.0-1 (and required package liboauth-ruby/0.4.4-2). libtwitter-ruby had a grave functional bug reported as #588522 because twitter.com quitted to support basic authentication. Old libtwitter-ruby did not adopted oauth authentication. New libtwitter-ruby upstream has released soon but it uses liboauth-ruby. liboauth-ruby is ITPed but not uploaded to debian archive. So, I created new liboauth-ruby package instead of him. It was blocked at new queue but approved about 2 weeks ago. So, each of these packages are more than 10 days old in unstable. libtwitter-ruby is major library for using twitter API to post/read tweets for Ruby. It was in testing before reporting authentication bug and no inportant bugs were reported. So, I think including these useful library in our new release is needed for our users. We have no application package using them but I think a lot of user apps including mine are using. Twitter is one of mejor messaging tools, therefore we need to add these packages. It also has the advantage of setting up DNS properly on OSX systems, which the official client doesn't do. (but maybe they will in the future, now that they can copy the method I use). It is not supported or affiliated with F5 in any way. I actually find it rather sad the client they provide is so terribly poor that I had to write this in order to get reliable access to my company's VPN. This software does not require any software from F5 to be installed on the client. The only requirement is Python 2.3.5 or later. It works on at least Linux and OSX systems, but porting to any similar OS should be trivial. Porting to Windows, on the other hand, is probably not reasonably possible. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? I thought that I'll fix these problems. However, we cannot get this software at any shops because it is to old. In addition, we have no user about this. Bug#370194: Status of atokx in Debian
Hi all, I apologize for my late reply. I'm in work about atokx package now. It is commercial software as you know, and it's very old. And, I'd like to change package structure to use debian version iiimf-server instead of atokx commercial archive. (It is in experimental) Because each of them use the same port. I'm trying to create and test new package but it does not work correctly yet. So, please wait a few days to try it. I'd like to keep atokx into debian archive and add it to etch. But..., atokx depends on iiimf-server but it is not in etch, only in unstable. Hmm... Anyway, I will upload new atokx package to unsable in a few days. Thank you, 2007/1/26, Amaya [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hi all Mark wrote: I've noticed the rc bug on atokx, which is quite old. You don't seem to care much about the package nowadays, and popcon reports that noone uses it anyway. Perhaps we should remove it from the archive? atokx has already been removed from testing. Can we file a RFR now? Or is the version in experimental any better? Why is it marked as dangerous in the changelog? I mean, it is just a installer for commercial software. How can this be a dangerous version? Is this software still relevant? What are the dangers? Taku, can you ellaborate? -- ·''`. Bug#379978: O: LongRun plug-in for GKrellM

The package description is as follows: This plug-in only works on the LongRun support Crusoe CPU, and requires that the Linux CPUID and MSR devices be compiled into the kernel (or loaded as kernel modules), that the CPUID character device be readable, and that the MSR character device be both readable and writable. pgpLCkK7fsubB.pgp Description: PGP signature
Bug#379983: O: libpod-pom-perl - Perl module of POD Object Model
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I have no time and interest about this package. So I orphan it. The package description is as follows: Pod::POM implements a parser to convert Pod documents into a simple object model called Pod Object Model. The object model is generated as a hierarchical tree of nodes, each of which represents a different element of the original document. The tree can be walked manually and the nodes examined, printed or otherwise manipulated. In addition, Pod::POM supports and provides view objects which can automatically traverse the tree, or section thereof, and generate an output representation in one form or another. pgpobhQEzbzdu.pgp Description: PGP signature

Package: wnpp Severity: normal Grip has been reported lots of bugs. However I haven't make a enough time to follow and maintain. The package description is as follows: It has the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia builtin, but can also use external rippers (such as cdda2wav). It also provides an automated frontend for MP3 encoders, letting you take a disc and transform it easily straight into MP3s. The CDDB protocol is supported for retrieving track information from disc database servers.
