Bug#700106: ITP: libconfig-properties-perl -- Perl implementation of the java.util.Properties API

  Version : 1.75
  Upstream Author : Salvador Fandin~o sfand...@yahoo.com
* URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Config-Properties/
* License : GPL, Artistic
  Programming Lang: Perl
Description : Perl implementation of the java.util.Properties API

Config::Properties is a near implementation of the java.util.Properties API.
It is designed to allow easy reading, writing and manipulation of Java-style
 property files.
 .
The format of a Java-style property file is that of a key-value pair
separated by either whitespace, the colon (:) character, or the equals (=)
character. Whitespace before the key and on either side of the separator is
 ignored.
 .
Lines that begin with either a hash (#) or a bang (!) are considered comment
 lines and ignored.
 .
A backslash (\) at the end of a line signifies a continuation and the next
line is counted as part of the current line (minus the backslash, any
whitespace after the backslash, the line break, and any whitespace at the
 beginning of the next line).

Bug#604146: unblock: liboauth-ruby/0.4.4-2, libtwitter-ruby/0.6.0-1

2010-11-20 Thread Taku YASUI
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: unblock

Please unblock libtwitter-ruby/0.6.0-1 (and required package
liboauth-ruby/0.4.4-2).

libtwitter-ruby had a grave functional bug reported as #588522 because
twitter.com
quitted to support basic authentication. Old libtwitter-ruby did not
adopted oauth
authentication. New libtwitter-ruby upstream has released soon but it uses
liboauth-ruby. liboauth-ruby is ITPed but not uploaded to debian archive. So,
I created new liboauth-ruby package instead of him. It was blocked at new queue
but approved about 2 weeks ago. So, each of these packages are more
than 10 days old
in unstable.

libtwitter-ruby is major library for using twitter API to post/read
tweets for Ruby.
It was in testing before reporting authentication bug and no inportant bugs were
reported.

So, I think including these useful library in our new release is
needed for our users.
We have no application package using them but I think a lot of user
apps including
mine are using. Twitter is one of mejor messaging tools, therefore we
need to add
these packages.

Thanks,

So, I will upload my liboauth-ruby package next Sunday if the reporter who want
to upload liboauth-ruby package will not reply me. And then I upload new
libtwitter-ruby.

You can get the new packages from following URLs:

Hi Will,

I created liboauth-ruby package right now. So, I want to upload it
to debian official archive. I found your ITP bug. So, may I takeover
your ITP request of liboauth-ruby?

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=572016

I want to update my libtwitter-ruby using liboauth.ruby.
So, could you tell me plan to upload the package?

If I will not receive your reply till 12 Sep 2010 09:00 UTC, I will
upload my package to debian archive and close the bug.

Bug#589600: ITP: f5vpn-login -- F5 VPN command-line client

I'm sorry about that.

f5vpn-login allows you to connect to an F5 VPN server without using

This software does not have rich function such as F5 vpn official client.

  Upstream Author : James Y Knight, f...@fuhm.net
* URL : http://fuhm.net/software/f5vpn-login/
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: C, Python
  Description : F5 VPN command-line client

This software allows you to connect to an F5 VPN server without using
their browser plugin. It also has the advantage of setting up DNS
properly on OSX systems, which the official client doesn't do. (but
maybe they will in the future, now that they can copy the method I use).

It is not supported or affiliated with F5 in any way. I actually find it
rather sad the client they provide is so terribly poor that I had to
write this in order to get reliable access to my company's VPN.

This software does not require any software from F5 to be installed on
the client. The only requirement is Python 2.3.5 or later. It works on
at least Linux and OSX systems, but porting to any similar OS should be
trivial. Porting to Windows, on the other hand, is probably not
 reasonably possible.

Description : Extension for LWP to allow parallel HTTP and FTP access

libparallel-useragent-perl is extension for LWP to allow parallel
 HTTP and FTP access.

Using a LWP::Parallel::UserAgent as your user agent, you typically
start by registering your requests, along with how you want the Agent
to process the incoming results (see $ua-register).
 .
Then you wait for the results by calling $ua-wait. This method only
returns, if all requests have returned an answer, or the Agent timed
out. Also, individual callback functions might indicate that the Agent
should stop waiting for requests and return. (see $ua-register)
 .
See the file LWP::Parallel for a set of simple examples.

Bug#468452: fail2ban: cannot recognize leap-year day

2008-02-28 Thread Taku YASUI
Package: fail2ban
Version: 0.8.1-4

fail2ban cannot recognize leap-year day. You can find this problem as
follows:

 1. Up loglevel to 4 (DEBUG) on your fail2ban.conf
 2. Following message is shown at your fail2ban.log

2008-02-29 06:26:37,548 fail2ban.filter : DEBUG Found a match but no valid

Maybe it causes at server/datestrptime.py. python time.strptime() cannot
recognize reap-year day when the year has not specified as follows:

% python
Python 2.4.4 (#2, Apr 5 2007, 20:11:18)

Standard syslogd does not recorded year. Therefore fail2ban failed to
recognize leap-year day.

Bug#370194: Status of atokx in Debian

2007-01-29 Thread Taku YASUI

Hi all,

I apologize for my late reply.

I'm in work about atokx package now.
It is commercial software as you know, and it's very old.
And, I'd like to change package structure to use debian
version iiimf-server instead of atokx commercial archive.
(It is in experimental)
Because each of them use the same port.

I'm trying to create and test new package but it does not
work correctly yet.

So, please wait a few days to try it. I'd like to keep atokx
into debian archive and add it to etch.
But..., atokx depends on iiimf-server but it is not in etch,
only in unstable. Hmm...

Anyway, I will upload new atokx package to unsable in a few days.

Thank you,

2007/1/26, Amaya [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

Hi all

Mark wrote:
I've noticed the rc bug on atokx, which is quite old. You don't seem

atokx has already been removed from testing. Can we file a RFR now?

Or is the version in experimental any better? Why is it marked as
dangerous in the changelog?

I mean, it is just a installer for commercial software. How can this be
a dangerous version? Is this software still relevant? What are the
dangers?

Taku, can you ellaborate?

Severity: wishlist

I think ldapscripts uses only ldap-utils. It does not need
slapd, libpam-ldap and libnss-ldap. Why does it depend on slapd,
libpam-ldap and libnss-ldap?

If anyone wants to manage ldap server running on another host,
they are not needed.

They should be moved to Suggests:, I guess.

Thanks,

Bug#350366: pdb_getsampwnam: Unable to open TDB passwd (/var/run/samba/passdb.tdb)!

2006-01-29 Thread Taku YASUI
Package: samba
Version: 3.0.21a-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

samba's passwd file has been '/var/lib/samba/passdb.tdb'.
But has it changed to '/var/run/samba/passdb.tdb'?

When I'd like to use samba's resource, I couldn't.
/var/log/samba/log.smbd saids as follows:

[2006/01/29 11:28:29, 0] passdb/pdb_tdb.c:tdbsam_tdbopen(196)
  Unable to open/create TDB passwd
[2006/01/29 11:28:29, 0] passdb/pdb_tdb.c:tdbsam_getsampwnam(435)
pdb_getsampwnam: Unable to open TDB passwd (/var/run/samba/passdb.tdb)!

I copied my passdb.tdb from /var/lib to /var/run, then I could access.

/var/run will be clean up when OS reboot. And its usage is FHS implemented.
So passwd file should not be in /var/run!!

I ran rgettext but it does not work anyway.

Bug#321191: libgettext-ruby-util: rgettext does not work

2005-08-03 Thread Taku YASUI
Package: libgettext-ruby-util
Version: 0.8.0-1
Severity: grave

rgettext does not work due to dependency problem.
/usr/bin/ruby is symlinked to ruby1.8.
But apt installed libgettext-ruby1.6 to fix dependency.

# apt-get install libgettext-ruby-util
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
  libgettext-ruby1.6
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libgettext-ruby-util libgettext-ruby1.6
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 40.3kB of archives.
After unpacking 348kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

So, ruby is 1.8 but libgettext-ruby is for 1.6.
Therefore ruby does not find library.

libgettext-ruby-0.8.0% rgettext bin/rgettext -o hoge.pot
/usr/bin/rgettext:15:in `require': no such file to load --
gettext/parser/ruby.rb (LoadError)
from /usr/bin/rgettext:15

I think you should change as below to fix this problem.

From:
  Depends: libgettext-ruby | libgettext-ruby1.8, ruby, irb

To:
  Depends: libgettext-ruby1.8, ruby (= 1.8), irb
