Bug#539479: Duplicate of #545751

2010-01-29 Thread Thierry Chich

This bug is also a duplicate of #545751.

I think also that this is really a bug. I can understand that skip-bdb
must be commented, but I think that it is not normal that such a little
problem could have such huge consequences (losses of datas for half an
hour, for instance).

At least, a small verification that the my.cnf is correct prior to
install mysql-server-5.1 should be helpfull.

Thanks;

Thierry Chich

Bug#395515: linux-headers-2.6.18-1-686: UTS_RELEASE lacking, problem while compiling vmware

2006-10-27 Thread Thierry CHICH
Package: linux-headers-2.6.18-1-686
Version: 2.6.18-3
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

In order to compile vmware modules, vmware-config.pl is looking for a
#define UTS_RELEASE 2.6.18-1-686
in
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.18-1-686/include/linux/version.h
that is lacking.

Bug#317548: wpasupplicant version =0.4 incompatible ipw2200

2005-07-09 Thread Thierry CHICH
Package: wpasupplicant
Version: =0.4 (testing ou unstable)

When I upgrade the version of wpasupplicant, I have no more connection with my
AP, using a WPA-PSK  authentification with my ipw2200 network card. I don't
remember exactly the version of my ipw2200 module. It should be a 1.0.3

There is a problem in the key exchange. The most significant message is :

# wpa_supplicant -K -i eth1 -Dipw -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
ioctl[SIOCSIWPMKSA]: Operation not supported

The url http://lists.shmoo.com/pipermail/hostap/2005-April/010042.html is the
beginning of a thread that speak of this incompatibility.

A simple solution is to come back to the stable version of wpasupplicant.
Perhaps the 1.0.4 of ipw2200 is fixing this bug, put it does not appear as an
evidence on the web site.
