Bug#379890: About your bug: klaptopdaemon: does not start automatically on the Debian BTS
Ana Guerrero wrote: Hi, We (the Debian Qt/KDE team) are trying to update the bug status of some old bugs in the BTS. You filed the bug #379890 klaptopdaemon: does not start automatically some time ago, you can read the bug report at: http://bugs.debian.org/379890 We are sorry if nobody responded when you filed the bug, KDE has gotten more bugs in the past years than the maintainers could handle. We are trying to fix this now, but we need your help. So please respond to this mail and tell us if: - you are still experiencing this bug (adding in what version) - the bug was already fixed, - or if you have extra information on how reproduce this bug. --- Thanks in advance, Ana Guerrero, on behalf of the Debian Qt/KDE team Hi, I'm now running version 4:3.5.5-3 and the problem seem to have been fixed. Bug#406046: Useradd: limits password to eight characters
Package: passwd Version: 1:4.0.18.1-6 Severity: important Wehen using useradd with an encrypted password the password is limited to eight caracters but this is not mentioned anywhere. Example: Cleartext password testuserpass makes encrypted password 33nGdctTISeok. The system then accept testuser as password when loging in. Bug#376668: [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#376668: kftpgrabber: craches during big transfers
It was about 6000 files over the internet (DSL connection). Mainly small gifs and a few hundred php/ html. Generally small filesizes (0.5 - 1K). It crached when trying to do it all in one go. I did several tries and it crached on different points. Doing small chunks, 500 to 1000 files at the time went OK. Hope this helps Tina Fathi Boudra wrote: What is big transfers ? can you give me an approximative size ? the transfer is in local or internet ?
