Bug#855251: easytag corrupt ogg files

2018-03-07 Thread Tobias Brink
Package: easytag
Version: 2.4.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #855251

Could you please also push the update disabling OGG support to stable? I seem
to have corrupted who knows how many files over the last weeks. This is
especially insidious, since the corrupted files still work in some media
players, but do not work with others (I had huge trouble on my Android phone,
for example, and had no idea it was in fact easytag's fault)!

Bug#865488: munin-node: systemd unit needs "After=network.target"

2017-06-21 Thread Tobias Brink
Package: munin-node
Version: 2.0.33-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

After upgrading an LXC container to stretch, the "munin-node.service" systemd
unit does no longer start at boot, but works fine if started manually later.
The fix for me was to add

[Unit]
After=network.target

to the munin-node.service file. I assume the reason is that the executable
tries to bind to an address which is not available, yet (I have a statement
like "host 192.168.42.42" in /etc/munin/munin-node.conf). Waiting for the
network fixes this.

BTW, if you need a quick hack to fix this, run the following as root:

dpkg -L calibre | grep py$ | xargs sed -i 's/QUrl\.None/QUrl.None_/g'

Warning: This will edit the package's files (see debsums errors in the
information below). Still, this makes the program usable until the next update.

Bug#823134: calibre: Cannot edit books

2016-05-04 Thread Tobias Brink
Package: calibre
Version: 2.55.0+dfsg-1
Followup-For: Bug #823134

I also have this problem. It occurs not only when editing a book but also when
trying to view a book or do a bunch of other things. It makes this package
pretty much unusable for me right now.

The problem seems to be related to a recent python-pyqt5 update to version 5.6.
They seem to have helpfully broken the API: "PyQt5.Qt.QUrl.None" is now named
"PyQt5.Qt.QUrl.None_" as far as I can see. Great. Maybe there are other
problems after fixing this one, too, the upstream changelog for pyqt5 does not
mention this from what I can tell at a quick glance.

I think upstream doesn't know about this. It is not fixed in their github.com
repo and I can't find a bug report. They use Launchpad, though, where I would
need to create an account and I barely have time to report this here right now.
If somebody with connections to upstream could pass this along? Otherwise I'd
have to have a look next week or even later.

I pulled it from the author's sourceforge page
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/imaplib2/), the github/pypi is just a
mirror. The sourceforge project is already at version 2.48, 2.47 was
released 2015-08-24
(http://sourceforge.net/p/imaplib2/code/ci/035607bcdc62745c384f4b409eea98a95c741912/).
Seems the github is out of date, perhaps I should ping this person, too.

Bug#797693: python3-imaplib2: import imaplib2 no longer works with python3

2015-09-01 Thread Tobias Brink
Package: python3-imaplib2
Version: 2.45.0-1
Severity: important

Hello!

With the newest upload importing imaplib2 from python3 does not work as
expected any more. The error is in the file

/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/imaplib2/__init__.py

which reads

from imaplib2 import *

but should read

from .imaplib2 import *

to work in python3. This was the case in the previous version of the package
(2.42).

Thanks,

Tobias

Bug#796824: python3-imaplib2: Python 3 incompatibility, fixed upstream in 2.47

2015-08-24 Thread Tobias Brink
Package: python3-imaplib2
Version: 2.42-2
Severity: normal

Hello!

The python 3 version of imaplib2 has a bug with exception handling:

It uses

try:
foo
except Exception as msg:
pass

and tries to re-use "msg" later. This is no longer allowed in python 3, leading
to UnboundLocalError exceptions in some cases.

I already reported this upstream and it is fixed in version 2.47.

It would be great if you could update this package to the newest version.

Thanks,

Tobias

Bug#774715: burp: Please update burp package to 1.4.30

2015-01-06 Thread Tobias Brink
Package: burp
Version: 1.3.48-4.1
Severity: wishlist

According to the author of the burp package, the 1.4.x versions of the software
are ready to use (see http://sourceforge.net/p/burp/mailman/message/33196726/)
and they fix a few bugs plaguing versions 1.3.x. A major bug that is fixed,
e.g., is that restoring an empty directory did not restore its permissions and
metadata in 1.3.x.

Please consider packaging 1.4.30 for jessie+1.

Thanks for your work on the package!
