Bug#505281:
For quite some time now, I haven't encountered this problem any more. Moreover, the bug report in VirtualBox BT system claims that this is already resolved somewhere around 2.x, which is already in Debian. (http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/1881) If nobody has this problem after upgrading to the 2.1.4, then, as for me, the bug can be closed. Nużą Cię utarte scenariusze? Bug#505281: Flood of VBox errors (assertion failure reports) in system log files
Package: virtualbox-ose Version: 1.6.6-dfsg-2 Severity: serious There is some assertion failure in VirtualBox that is being outputed (thousand times a second? something like that) to /var/log/kern.log, /var/log/messages and /var/log/syslog. This causes these files to grow very quickly untill the / filesystem is full. After five days of extensive usage of VirtualBox all the files have 1.5 GB of size each (4.5 GB altogether) and my root partition is full. Then I have to manually remove these files in order to be able to use my system again. It seems that this is this, and only this, message: Nov 10 20:32:34 localhost kernel: [ 5655.155124] Nov 10 20:32:34 localhost kernel: [ 5655.155125] !!R0-Assertion Failed!! Bug#502346: virtualbox-ose-modules package older than virtualbox-ose
Package: virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.26-1-amd64 Version: 2.6.26+1.6.2-dfsg-4 Severity: serious The virtualbox-ose has been updated recently to version 1.6.6, but the kernel-modules package for VBox (virtualbox-ose-modules) hasn't. This makes VBox unusable - when trying to start a virtual machine, I get such error: The version of the VirtualBox kernel modules and the version of VirtualBox application are not matching. You can correct this by either installing the correct virtualbox-ose-modules package (if available) through apt-get or by building it manually with: module-assistant auto-install virtualbox-ose. I've just looked on the list of the package bugs and found out that my bug report is a duplicate of #495235. Sorry for that - seems that I was too tired yesterday... Bug#501346: tomcat5.5 fails to install in postinst script stage
Package: tomcat5.5 Severity: serious The tomcat5.5 (5.5.26-3) package instalation fails in postinst stage. The package is installed, but the package is not configured. The error I get is: E: tomcat5.5: subprocess post-installation script returned an error code 1 (or something like this - it's translated from Polish) Don't know if it is relevant, but there is also an information that there is no JAVA_HOME env variable set (although Java is installed - openjdk) Wygraj podłożenie dubbingu pod jedną z postaci filmu MADAGASKAR 2! Bug#495157:
Ok. I've found out how to fix this:D Just rename the /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libgadu.pc to /usr/lib/pkgconfig/gadu.pc and just do $pkg-config gadu --libs instead of $pkg-config libgadu --libs when configuring the sources that depend on libgadu. Don't know if this solution will be accepted upstream - maybe it's just a bug in Debian's pkg-config? Nie wiesz jak dojechać docelu.pl ? Potrzebujesz mapy? Szukasz adresu? Bug#495157: libgadu not seen by pkg-config and linker
Package: libgadu-dev Version: 1:1.8.0+r592-2 Severity: important While compiling kadu (upstrean svn-trunk source), which depends on libgadu, I get an error that the libgadu is not present in the system (kadu uses cmake, which uses pkg-config to check for needed deps). Although libgadu-dev is installed, the pkg-config displays such error: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:[svn]$ pkg-config libgadu --libs Package @REQUIRES@ was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing [EMAIL PROTECTED]@.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package '@REQUIRES@', required by 'libgadu', not found I've removed the libgadu dependendy checking from the configuration script, but I got a lot of linker errors (related to libgadu) when gcc tried to link the executable.
