Sure, I'm building on Ubuntu saucy, I think some tcl/tk multiarch work was
done. Ruby tries reading /usr/lib/tclConfig.sh directly - which doesn't
work so well if that file just sources another. Specifying the real tcl/tk
directory fixes it.

Bug#578778: Failure when using dansguardian -r or dansguardian -g to reload configuration

I get this when reloading, but only with the clamav contentscanner
enabled.

Stracing shows:
write(2, bytecode_init: already initialized, 34) = 34
which looks like libclamav complaining that cl_init has been called
twice.

Upstream seem to be pushing the clamdscan contentscanner as a
replacement - contentscanners/clamav.cpp has been removed on trunk and
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/dansguardian/message/22427
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/dansguardian/message/22086

Note clamdscan isn't enabled in the standard lenny package -

Bug#513847: uploading a package with same version generates invalid index

2009-02-01 Thread Tristan Hill
Package: mini-dinstall
Version: 0.6.25

In earlier versions it was possible to rebuild and reupload a package
while testing without having to increase the version number. Now apt
complains about a size mismatch when trying to install the package after
it has been uploaded a second time:

Failed to fetch
file:///home/stan/902/mini-dinstall/experimental/nodoka-theme_0.3.90-1~stan2_all.deb
  Size mismatch
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with
--fix-missing?

I suspect this is due to the use of --db option with apt-ftparchive
introduced with 0.6.25.

I have been able to workaround the issue by using a pre_install_script
to remove the .db file.

Regards
Tristan

Bug#510859: zaptel: rmmod of zaphfc gives kernel stack trace

2009-01-20 Thread Tristan Hill
Based on the code reference in the warning (referring to
http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v2.6.26/arch/x86/kernel/smp.c#L207) I believe
its due to using the interrupt disabling spinlock functions.

I have not have the system deadlock as indicated by comments in the code
near the above link and the code seems to have changed/moved a lot in
newer kernels so don't know how much a problem it is.

The warning/stack trace goes away with the attached patch. I assume its
safe to not disable interrupts once the handler has been unregistered.

Thanks
Tristan

Bug#436269: duplicate postmaster /etc/aliases entry if postfix/root_address used

2007-08-06 Thread Tristan Hill
Package: postfix
Version: 2.4.5-1

The postfix.postinst script creates two postmaster entries
in /etc/aliases if the debconf variable postfix/root_address is used.

add_root_alias() {
db_get postfix/root_address  root_addr=$RET
ret=$(echo $RET | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]')
if [ $ret != none ]  [ -n $ret ] ; then
echo adding root: $RET alias
echo root: $RET  /etc/aliases
echo adding postmaster: $RET alias
echo postmaster:   $RET  /etc/aliases
fi
}
..
if [ ! -f /etc/aliases ]; then  # no /etc/aliases [
echo /etc/aliases does not exist, creating it.
cat  EOF  /etc/aliases
# See man 5 aliases for format
postmaster:root

if [ $mailer != No configuration ]; then# [
db_fget postfix/root_address changed
if [ $RET = true ]; then
add_root_alias
NEWALIASES=y

resulting in a /etc/aliases containing:

# Automatically update WebStatistics

Bug#389908: dput: chmod after scp upload

2006-09-28 Thread Tristan Hill
Package: dput
Version: 0.9.2.25
Severity: normal

The scp upload method sometimes fails when the queue daemon (I'm
using mini-dinstall) processes the uploaded files before dput has a
chance to call chmod to fix their permissions.

Perhaps it would be better to fix the permissions locally and rely on
scp -p to set the permissions correctly on the remote host.

Bug#384595: make-ssl-cert fails when $HOME not set

2006-08-25 Thread Tristan Hill
Package: ssl-cert
Version: 1.0.13
Severity: minor

As the default openssl config specifies the use of $HOME, when this is
not set the openssl call within make-ssl-cert fails.

In the template /usr/share/ssl-cert/ssleay.cnf $HOME is used to set
RANDFILE, but this is also set by make-ssl-cert before the openssl call,
so perhaps the line in the template can simply be removed.

Otherwise perhaps HOME=/tmp could be added to the template before
the RANDFILE line as a fallback.
