Bug#993011: pulseaudio-module-bluetooth: no longer detects bluetooth headphones

2021-11-04 Thread Viktor Malyarchuk
Hello,

Igor Kovalenko solution work for me only if
libspa-0.2-bluetooth
package is installed.

The solution is described in
https://wiki.debian.org/PipeWire#Bluetooth

1) Only pulseaudio-module-bluetooth is installed; it is impossible to pair.
2) Both pulseaudio-module-bluetooth and libspa-0.2-bluetooth are installed;
pairing is flaky but not impossible. (Few failed attempts before success.)
3) Only libspa-0.2-bluetooth is installed, pairing is reliable. (It failed
the first time after pulseaudio-module-bluetooth was removed.)

Failure always end in
src/service.c:btd_service_connect() a2dp-sink profile connect failed for
XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX: Protocol not available
message.

Best regards,

Sincerely,

Viktor Malyarchuk

Hi James,

just want to confirm that

gcc -shared shim.c -olibshim.so
LD_PRELOAD=$(pwd)/libshim.so kodi-standalone

Dear Maintainer,

the workaround for this bug is downgrading network-manager to the version in
testing.

Work fine with network-manager=1.2.4-2

look like xserver-xorg-video-nouveau is not compatible with

Dear Maintainer,

live-tools is shipped with broken link
/usr/sbin/update-initramfs - ../bin/live-update-initramf
which break an automatic initrd images generation and update.

Changing the link to
/usr/sbin/update-initramfs - /bin/live-update-initramf
restores lost functionality.

Bug#607956: [Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#607956: Bug#607956: network-manager: Does not start with dhcp=dhcpcd option in NetworkManager.conf

2011-03-29 Thread Viktor Malyarchuk
Hi Michael,

NM does not work with dhcpcd v3 (dhcpcd=1:3.2.3-8)

NetworkManager[3399]: warn invalid connection: 'NMSettingConnection' /
'id' invalid: 1
/sbin/dhcpcd-bin: invalid option -- 'B'

  [-I clientID] [-P pidfile] interface
NetworkManager[3399]: info (eth2): DHCPv4 client pid 3402 exited with

NM work fine with dhcpcd v5 (dhcpcd5=5.2.11-1) if /etc/init.d/dhcpcd
daemon is NOT running.

Otherwise NM never get IP:

There is the nice summary of the problem in third paragraph of comment #10
here:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345365#c10
Comment #13 claim that issue is resolved:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345365#c13
Not sure if it can be applicable to Debian. Look very Gentoo specific.

My workaround is just to delete /etc/init.d/dhcpcd from the system. Not
exactly elegant solution but it work.

Bug#350524: This is not the bug in dx this is the problem with dxhdf5.

Hi Daniel!

I rebuild libhdf5-1.6.2-0 and then dxdhf5 with gcc-4.0.
Unfortunately, nothing changed :-(

Do not work properly with dx=1:4.4.0-1 and dx=1:1:4.3.2-7.
(While reading data it fail to read data attributes, so dx can not
make correct axes).
Work fine with dx=1:4.3.2-3 (dx=1:4.3.2-6 is not available anymore).
No need to downgrade libdx4.

 dx has never been shipped with any hdf5 support. Therefore, neither past
 nor present versions have depended on libhdf5. I'm not quite sure why
 the plugin stopped working with 4.3.2-7, but given that they're written
 in C++, the c2a ABI change might be the culprit. Try rebuilding the
 plugin with a custom build of libhdf5, and let me know if this solves
 your problem.

 I'm inclined to close this report as invalid, but it definitely doesn't
 sound release-critical, so for now I'm just lowering the severity.

 Daniel.

Bug#350524: This IS the BUG in DX!

2006-02-01 Thread Viktor Malyarchuk
Hi Daniel!

I just made some cross checking. The dxhdf5 module is working the same
way for dx=1:4.3.2-3
and for dx=1:4.4.0-1! It read data and data attributes correctly! So
it is WORKING.

Corruption happen sometime latter in DX. So, there is really show
stopping bug somewhere...

I'll try to ping down place in my dx program where it is happen, but
it is for sure not dxhdf5.

Cheers!

 to improve the annotation capabilities in OpenDX, particularly with
 regard to mathematics and foreign languages;
 to enable OpenDX to be used as a tool for producing special effects on

Bug#350524: This is not the bug in dx this is the problem with dxhdf5.

2006-01-30 Thread Viktor Malyarchuk
Package: dx
Version: 1:4.4.0-1
Followup-For: Bug #350524

Sorry for confusion. I just find out that porblem not in dx package but
in dxhdf5 http://www-beams.colorado.edu/dxhdf5/
There are not dxhdf5 packaged yet in Debian.
I compiled this module against libhdf5-serial-1.6.2-0
It was working fine till dx=4.3.2-6 and stop working with dx=4.3.2-7.
It do not work with dx=4.4.0-1 also. It look like dx is not linked
against libhdf5-serial-1.6.2-0 anymore. Unfortunately it fail to compile
against libhdf5-serial-1.6.4-0c2.

g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/include -I/usr/lib/dx/include -g
-O2 -MT DhH5FieldFile.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/DhH5FieldFile.Tpo -c
DhH5FieldFile.cpp  -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/DhH5FieldFile.o
DhH5FieldFile.cpp: In member function 'void DhH5FieldFile::read(void*,
H5::DataType)':
DhH5FieldFile.cpp:205: error: invalid conversion from 'long long int*'
to 'const hsize_t*'
DhH5FieldFile.cpp:205: error: initializing argument 3 of 'void
H5::DataSpace::selectHyperslab(H5S_seloper_t, const hsize_t*, const
hsize_t*, const hsize_t*, const hsize_t*) const'

Compilation of dxhdf5 fail only on Debian system. Probably bug in
libhdf5-serial-1.6.4-0c2.

Bug#350525: RFP: gwyddion -- A Software Framework for SPM Data Analysis

2006-01-29 Thread Viktor Malyarchuk
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: gwyddion
  Version : 1.15
  Upstream Author : Petr Klapetek [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://gwyddion.net/
* License : GPL
  Description : A Software Framework for SPM Data Analysis

Gwyddion is a modular program for SPM (scanning probe microscopy) data
analysis. Primarily it is supposed to be used for analysis of height
fields obtained by means of scanning probe microscopy techniques (AFM,
MFM, STM, NSOM), but generally it can be used for any other height field
analysis or image analysis.
