Bug#570032: and how does it go?

2010-11-09 Thread Vladimir Osintsev
Hi Yaroslav,

Long enough Basho provides official packages for Riak, including
deb-packages for Debian. See http://downloads.basho.com/riak/CURRENT/

At the moment I see no reason to make their own packages and support
them separate from Basho. Ideally, it makes sense to ask for upstream
developers to add their packages to the official Debian repository.

Bug#571801: [Pkg-nagios-devel] Bug#571801: Error: Could not stat() command file /var/lib/nagios3/rw/nagios.cmd

This bug was tagged as 'patch' becose bug report have step-by-step
procedure to fix this issue. Tag 'confirmed' there becose this well
known issue, I myself have encountered this problem, also I found many
references to this problem in Google (the solution for Debian was
taken from the Internet too). This fully corresponds to the value of
this tags: http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#tags

Alexander, you can use clean debootstrap chroot to look output of `ls
-la /var/lib/nagios3/rw/nagios.cmd` or use web-interface on
http://packages.debian.org/ to search package contents: as you can see
none packages contain file 'nagios.cmd'.

Lots of work done on initial sK1 packaging. That package will be
maintained under the Python Application Packaging Team and currently
package sources already in PAPT subversion repository.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/sk1
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/sk1/sk1_0.9.1~pre+svn730-1.dsc

Brand, you agree to be a sponsor for this package?

Bug#562666: ITP: glb -- simple TCP connection load balancer

2009-12-26 Thread Vladimir Osintsev
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Vladimir Osintsev osint...@gmail.com

* Package name: glb
  Version : 0.7.3
  Upstream Author : Codership Oy i...@codership.com
* URL : http://www.codership.com/en/products/galera-load-balancer
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : simple TCP connection load balancer

glb is a simple TCP connection balancer made with scalability and
performance in mind. It was inspired by pen, but unlike pen its
functionality is limited only to balancing generic TCP connections.

Features:
  - list of backend servers is configurable in runtime.
  - supports server draining, i.e. does not allocate new connections
to server, but does not kill existing ones, waiting for them to end
gracefully.
  - can use epoll API provided by Linux version 2.6 and higher
for ultimate routing performance.
  - glb is multithreaded, so it can utilize multiple CPU cores.
