Bug#1052635: firefox-esr: hover broken on Wayland - fix available
Package: firefox-esr Version: 115.2.1esr-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer, Firefox-esr has hover broken on wayland (tooltips don't appear on hover, other things are randomly broken). An easy fix is to start it with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 in the .desktop file. I don't know if it still works on X11 though in this case. Bug#994965: gnome-control-center: "Power Mode" options not displayed
Package: gnome-control-center Version: 1:40.1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** Hi, I have 2 intel laptops (Dell XPS 13 and XPS 15, one from 2017 and one from 2021) which I know have different power modes. The gnome-control-center from GNOME 40 is supposed to show me an option to select one of these power modes (like "performance" or "power saver"), but it doesn't. Bug#906065: Ping
Hi, Any news about this ? I'd love to see this in debian. Regards, Xav
Bug#969955: evolution-ews: should be installed with gnome-online-accounts
Package: evolution-ews Version: 3.36.4-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, On a fresh Debian install, using the GNOME desktop, if you run gnome-online-accounts to create an Exchange identity (in my case Office365), then launch Evolution to read your mails (or gnome-calendar or anything else using this account) the Exchange account won't appear anywhere, and there will be no error. After a long search, the user may understand that the avolution-ews package needs to be installed for this to work, but it's really not obvious for non-experts. So evolution-ews should be a dependency of gnome-online-accounts to avoid silent errors. Kind regards, Xav PS: if you request so I can reopen this bug in gnome-online-accounts, I was not sure where to file it. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (900, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (90, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.7.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages evolution-ews depends on: ii evolution3.36.4-2 ii evolution-data-server3.36.4-1 ii libc62.31-3 ii libcamel-1.2-62 3.36.4-1 ii libebackend-1.2-10 3.36.4-1 ii libebook-1.2-20 3.36.4-1 ii libebook-contacts-1.2-3 3.36.4-1 ii libecal-2.0-13.36.4-1 ii libedata-book-1.2-26 3.36.4-1 ii libedata-cal-2.0-1 3.36.4-1 ii libedataserver-1.2-243.36.4-1 ii libedataserverui-1.2-2 3.36.4-1 ii libevolution 3.36.4-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.64.4-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.22-1 ii libical3 3.0.8-2 ii libmspack0 0.10.1-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.1-1 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.70.0-1 ii libxml2 2.9.10+dfsg-6 evolution-ews recommends no packages. evolution-ews suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Bug#883676: Confirmed
Hi, I can confirm it doesn't crash anymore when selecting 'about' or clocking on the title bar. Thanks a lot for your packaging work Jeremy, Xav
Bug#883676: Please package new version
Ping! Would it be possible to package the new Tilix version, which fixes the crashes ? The only version available is 1.7.1-2, so I can't even go back to a working one. Cheers, Xav
Bug#883676: New release
Hi, Apparently it would be fixed in the latest release, 1.7.3. HTH, Xav
Bug#883676: Only in Debian build
2 things: - sometimes there are random segfaults, it's reaaally painful when working with terminals all day long - I downloaded the binary package from https://github.com/gnunn1/tilix/ releases/download/1.7.1/tilix.zip and ran only the executable (so it used the debian installed files for everything else), and it doesn't crash when using the "about" menu item

Package: mutter Version: 3.22.2-2 Severity: minor Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer, In gnome-shell, when having two half-maximized windows side-by-side, or when having two monitors and a maximized window on each monitor, the shadow of a window steals the focus of its neighbor on a few pixels. Bug#850408: terminix: (apparently) does not notify it has started
Package: terminix Version: 1.4.0-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, When launching Terminix in gnome-shell, the menu has a spinning wheel which should stop as soon as the application has started - see: https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/startup-notification/ But with Terminix the wheel is spinning for too long, apparently it just stops after a while because of a timeout. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: nextcloud Version : 9 Upstream Author : Frank Karlitschek* URL : https://www.nextcloud.com/ * License : AGPL Programming Lang: PHP Description : self-hosted cloud services Nextcloud gives you a private, secure way to share, work with others and access your own data using an easy to use interface. Be it music, calendar appointments, bookmarks, email or your documents, Nextcloud keeps your data safe. Nextcloud gives organizations control over their data. Manage access to data and communication across devices and platforms, on-premise, on existing storage or with cloud storage. Nextcloud integrates in your infrastructure, offering the extensibility and features you need. Given that Nextcloud is an Owncloud fork, with the same people behind it, and that Owncloud upstream has always had a difficult relationship with distro maintainers, there may be problems for packaging that correctly. But Nextcloud is still a highly relevant package for Debian. Cheers, Xav

Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: nanopb Version : 0.3.5 Upstream Author : Petteri Aimonen* URL : https://koti.kapsi.fi/jpa/nanopb/ * License : zlib Programming Lang: C Description : Protocol Buffers for Embedded Systems Nanopb is a plain-C implementation of Google's Protocol Buffers data format. It is targeted at 32 bit microcontrollers, but is also fit for other embedded systems with tight (2-10 kB ROM, <1 kB RAM) memory constraints. In Debian, protobuf-c is the most viable alternative, should you require something more than what nanopb can provide. It has more complete support of Protocol Buffers features (such as easy to use unbounded recursive messages), but relies on dynamic memory allocation and the code size is quite large (more than 20kB binary). I would like someone to package it, if possible. Thanks, Xav

This is apparently due to a bug in the swapping code. The comment This is benign as 0 means block 0 which has been zeroed out and therefore points back to itself from any offset apparently is wrong: in at least some of the tests, block 0 is actually the superblock, which is not zero, but contains precious data!! The attached patch fixes this by checkout for block number 0 (which means that i_blocks indeed included the indirection blocks). Or maybe it does, but it doesn't work. The underlying filesystem (it's on a D-Link DNS-323, a small linux appliance) is ext3, so it supports uids/gids. Albeit the SMB user isn't administrator on the machine, so I guess that's why it can't chown. That sounds plausible. Setting BM_REPOSITORY_SECURE to false should do the trick, please report back whether the backup succeeds. Worked nice, thanks. Although the tarring itself spent 26 hrs, then another 10 hrs for the md5sums. What's annoy me a bit is that the master tarball is nearly 500G, and the incremental one, with only very few changes (a few megabytes) weights 100G ! Bug#575287: Same here even with 2.6.32-4-amd64

This results in a conflict for hardware access and cannot work properly. It's usually caused by the radeon kernel module being loaded too late. With the latest sid kernel udev should load the module on boot. dmesg would give a clue as to why that didn't happen here. If you mean loading in the initrd, I think there's still a bug with the firmware not being present. Bug#565784: epiphany-browser: middle click doesn't paste URL anymore
Le mardi 19 janvier 2010 à 10:19 -0200, Gustavo Noronha Silva a écrit : There were changes in this regard, but they should not cause the problem you are having. Can you check whether you have the autoscroll extension turned on, and if it works with it disabled? The enabled extensions are adblock and certificates (their names are in French). The autoscrolling is disabled. BTW I have two extensions which say, in a slightly similar language, that they enabled a scrolling with a middle mouse click. One is automatic scrolling, the other is something like mouse scrolling. HTH, Xav -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
