Firefox-esr has hover broken on wayland (tooltips don't appear on
hover,
other things are randomly broken).
An easy fix is to start it with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 in the .desktop
file. I don't know if it still works on X11 though in this case.

All comments are somewhat gray on my screen, I didn't really pay
attention to them and I just searched for the section I was interested
in "[Service]", uncommented it and added the "Environment" line I
needed.

I completely understand why you've done it this way now but I didn't
"see" it. Maybe a message telling "please pay attention to the comments
in the file you're going to edit" before launching $EDITOR would help ?

Maybe there's a missing package or something ? IMHO it should be
installed by default then (at least recommended).

Dear Maintainer,

On a fresh Debian install, using the GNOME desktop, if you run
gnome-online-accounts to create an Exchange identity (in my case
Office365), then launch Evolution to read your mails (or gnome-calendar
or anything else using this account) the Exchange account won't appear
anywhere, and there will be no error.

After a long search, the user may understand that the avolution-ews
package needs to be installed for this to work, but it's really not
obvious for non-experts.

So evolution-ews should be a dependency of gnome-online-accounts to
avoid silent errors.

this is really problematic, because you can't invoke kpartx twice - in

2 things:

- sometimes there are random segfaults, it's reaaally painful when
working with terminals all day long

- I downloaded the binary package from https://github.com/gnunn1/tilix/
releases/download/1.7.1/tilix.zip and ran only the executable (so it
used the debian installed files for everything else), and it doesn't
crash when using the "about" menu item

Files generated by certbot (*.pem) aren't by default readable by applications - 
e.g. if I want to make cyrus use letsencrypt I can't.
I have to manually chgrp -R ssl-cert /etc/letsencrypt (and addgroup cyrus 
ssl-cert) but the former will be lost at the next certbot update.

Would it be possible to make the whole directory root.ssl-cert ?

When launching Terminix in gnome-shell, the menu has a spinning wheel
which should stop as soon as the application has started - see:

But with Terminix the wheel is spinning for too long, apparently it just
stops after a while because of a timeout. The problem is that the menu
is then unusable until the timeout happens.

than what nanopb can provide. It has more complete support of Protocol Buffers

binary).

I would like someone to package it, if possible.

gzip and md5sum are mostly in D state, but their CPU time is progressing
slowly so I guess they reach R state sometimes.

So what happens seems clear: the lock is taken during the backup, but
released before calculating the md5sums. And in my case the sums take a
long time to compute, so the next backup comes before the previous sums
are there = error message in the log.

backups on my system are quite big (some are half a Tb), so they are quite long 
to do. Today I received the mail for the backup started on Feb 1st. The problem 
is that while the master backup isn't finished, bm already started to do the 
corresponding incremental backups:

but it's not that easy to parse :)

Maybe that part: $command $file_to_create $target  $logfile should
be expanded before being printed ?

I'll send a bugreport for tar.

during that time, nautilus is unresponsive, and sometimes even the network 
falls down (I can resume it using network-manager).
Hanging on read_tsc() looks wrong to me.

Oh, and yes I did an upgrade without reboot afterwards, but it shouldn't affect 
this report.

Although the tarring itself spent 26 hrs, then another 10 hrs for the
md5sums.
What's annoy me a bit is that the master tarball is nearly 500G, and the
incremental one, with only very few changes (a few megabytes) weights
100G ! Apparently it's full of empty directories which take up space for
nothing.

No, I can't chown anything on the drive.
I don't really know why that is. The underlying filesystem (it's on a
D-Link DNS-323, a small linux appliance) is ext3, so it supports
uids/gids. Albeit the SMB user isn't administrator on the machine, so I
guess that's why it can't chown.
I changed the BM_REPOSITORY_SECURE option to false to avoid BM doing
the chown, and now it should work. I'll wait for the crontab to fire
tonight, and for the backup to complete (24h) to check.

Hi,

I've got an UVC webcam which works well in e.g. cheese.
With 'webcam', sometimes the image is completely garbled, and I have to run 
cheese for a while to make webcam work again.
It's like if cheese was doing a correct initialization to the device which 
webcam is missing.

I have no CDROM in my machine. GRUB displays the message mentionned in the 
title, then it seems it wais a few seconds and proceeds normally.
There's no real harm done, it's just a bit ugly, because it uses text mode 
instead of the graphics framebuffer mode configured.

The enabled extensions are adblock and certificates (their names are
in French). The autoscrolling is disabled.
BTW I have two extensions which say, in a slightly similar language,
that they enabled a scrolling with a middle mouse click. One is
automatic scrolling, the other is something like mouse scrolling.
