Bug#218631: firestarter: Problem still here :-°

2007-09-01 Thread Yannick P.
This problem is still here on Etch/Lenny.
It seems console spam disappears when you log-in with XDM.

OK, it's not so simple.

Bug#438196: Sometimes...

2007-08-30 Thread Yannick P.
I have *sometimes* this problem.
I do '/etc/init.d/xdm stop' and the system thinks XDM is not running so
it can't stop it (but it's there in tty7 and it works).

And sometimes, '/etc/init.d/xdm stop' works but when I go in tty7, I
have something like ÉÇÔZÈKËÄÅ and I cannot go to the others tty.
But I can have logging informations about dropped packets (like in bug
#218631) and sys-request keys work and show infos.

I don't know if the two problems are linked.
My two cents.

xdm 1:1.1.5-2 and 1:1.1.6-2

Bug#440067: ripperx: Doesn't support extended latin alphabet

Package: ripperx

I can enter diacritics in text fields for titles of tracks, but result is
messy.
example:

Le lieu désiré becomes Le lieu dAcsirAc after ripping.
Territoire de l'Inini becomes Territoire de lInini (but it's true we
should rather use ´ and not ' )

Bug#433181: openssh: Manpages are outdated

2007-07-15 Thread Yannick P.
Are you sure this isn't simply that the datestamps on the man pages
 haven't been updated?

In fact, no, I'm not sure...
For example Debian's man page of ssh must be newer than 1999 because it
seems there are references to 2006 year in See also section.

But for sshd man page:

Section AUTHENTIFICATION, end of the third paragraph:

OpenSSH's web site:
a crypto-graphic message authentication code (hmac-md5, hmac-sha1,
umac-64 or hmac-ripemd160).

Debian's man page:
a crypto‐graphic message authentication code (hmac-sha1 or hmac-md5).

There are also other small differences.

Bug#432001: Enters quotation marks only at the beginning of paragraph

2007-07-06 Thread Yannick P.
Package: knode
Version: 4:3.5.7-1
Severity: normal

Quotation marks work well when I choose follow up, KNode wraps the
text (at column 76 according to my settings) and puts a quotation mark
at the beginning of each line.
Example:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Sed non
risus.
Suspendisse lectus tortor, dignissim sit amet, adipiscing nec,
ultricies
sed, dolor. Cras elementum ultrices diam. Maecenas ligula massa,
varius a,
semper congue, euismod non, mi. Proin porttitor, orci nec nonummy

Ut velit mauris, egestas sed, gravida nec, ornare ut, mi. Aenean ut
orci
vel massa suscipit pulvinar. Nulla sollicitudin. Fusce varius, ligula
non
tempus aliquam, nunc turpis ullamcorper nibh, in tempus sapien eros
vitae
ligula. Pellentesque rhoncus nunc et augue. Integer id felis.

reportbug wraps maybe before column 76 so you have words alone but you
have it.

When I paste a text as Quotation or paste a text and then choose Add
Quote Characters, KNode puts marks only at the beginning of the
paragraph and I have:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Sed non
risus.

orci
vel massa suscipit pulvinar. Nulla sollicitudin. Fusce varius, ligula
non tempus aliquam, nunc turpis ullamcorper nibh, in tempus sapien eros
vitae ligula.

It's not very Netiquette-friendly, I think.

I post texts in iso-8859-15, 8-bit encoding is allowed.

No problem if Gnome Default Browser is Epiphany, or External Browser in

Sorry, what do you mean by this? A menu icon? The status bar icon?
An icon in some window title bar?

Sorry myself for not having been precise.

Three of them (in Gnome's main menu, in Gnome's task bar and in
Liferea's title bar).
I have instead the generic program icon.

Also, did you upgrade from a 1.2 version, or from 1.0?

From a 1.2 version certainly, I update my Sid every day so I think I
have all the successive versions of Liferea.

I have this message when I run Liferea from a term but I don't know if
the two are bound.

When you want to launch this playlist, Audacious doesn't like ?xspf at the

Works if you remove ?xspf.

Bug#418772: kmail: Crash when deleting a message with Threaded message list enabled

2007-04-12 Thread Yannick P.
Thank you for your bug report.

I tried to reproduce it following your steps, but didn't succeed.

Duh, I could reproduce it yesterday as long as I wanted, but not anymore.

I miss one piece of information: Is this on pop3-account downloadde
locally, a dIMAP account? a imap account? or?

It was with remote imap AND local folder.

and unfortunately your backtrace is quite useless. If you could try
reproducing it with kdepim-dbg installed, it would be very nice.

Today I tried to reproduce it with kdepim-dbg installed but no crash anymore,
I can delete the messages. [1]

***
I tried again and now I get again a crash every time I want to delete a
message. [file kmail_when_delete]

I have a crash too when I want to move a message from an imap folder to the
local folder (I think I could do it even when deleting crashed yesterday).
[file kmail_crash_after_move_message]

[1] I could but I had a crash a few seconds after [file
kmail_some_seconds_after_deletes], leading me to try again.

Hope this helps.

More clearly this time: I don't have this problem with version 1.4.2-3
of *system-tools-backend*.

(the bug should be moved I guess)

When I install Etch/testing, the system chooses ati as driver in

Performances seem to me better with the radeon driver (like moving windows).

I have this problem when installating Etch/testing on an Athlon XP with
an ATI Radeon 9200.
I had the (strange?) idea to remove the maximum of things in the Screen
section of xorg.conf and it works perfectly.
