PS : Could you verify this is a correct way to fix Debian bugs in Ubuntu -

This is how I did it, but I just want to make sure this is an acceptable way to 
patch Debian projects as I modified the formula from the "Ubuntu way" of 
patching files. This is my second Debian patch and I just want to make sure I 
am doing it correctly (did it first time and this time this way. First patch 
was accepted).
