Satoru KURASHIKI intends to orphan package,
but he does not have his time. So I do it for him acked by him.

Description: high-performance MySQL tuning script
High-performance MySQL tuning script written in perl that will provide
you with a snapshot of a MySQL server?s health. Based on the statistics
gathered, specific recommendations will be provided that will increase a
MySQL server's efficiency and performance. The script gives you
automated MySQL tuning that is on the level of what you would receive
 from a MySQL DBA.
 .
 Features:
 .
* Memory Usage: Calculates MySQL memory usage at max load and makes
recommendations for increasing or decreasing the MySQL memory
footprint. Per-thread and server-wide buffer data is calculated
separately for an accurate snapshot of the server?s configuration.
* Slow Queries: Reviews the amount of slow queries relative to the
total queries. Slow query time limits are also analyzed and
  recommendations are made.
* Connections: Current and historical connection counts are
  reviewed.
* Key Buffer: Takes configuration data and compares it to the actual
indexes found in MyISAM tables. Key cache hit rates are calculated
  and variable adjustments are suggested.
* Query Cache: Query cache hit rates and usage percentages are used
to make recommendations for the query cache configuration
  variables.
* Sorting & Joins: Per-thread buffers that affect sorts and joins
are reviewed along with the statistics from the queries run
  against the server.
* Temporary Tables: Variable recommendations are made to reduce
temporary tables that are written to the disk.
* Table Cache: Compares total tables opened to the currently open
tables. Calculates the table cache hit rate in order to make
  suggestions.
* Open Files: Determines if the server will approach or run into the
open file limit set by the operating system or the MySQL server
  itself.
* Table Locks: Finds table locking that forces queries to wait and
makes suggestions for reducing locks that require a wait.
* Thread Cache: Calculates how many times MySQL must create a new
thread to respond to a query.
* Aborted Connections: Finds applications that are not closing
  connections to MySQL properly.
* Read/Write Ratios: Calculates the percentage of read and write
  operations on your MySQL installation.

Bug#1053385: O: libclass-std-storable-perl -- Support for creating serializable "inside-out" classes

2023-10-02 Thread HIGUCHI Daisuke (VDR dai)
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: libclass-std-storable-p...@packages.debian.org
Control: affects -1 + src:libclass-std-storable-perl

Satoru KURASHIKI intends to orphan package,
but he does not have his time. So I do it for him acked by him.

Description: Support for creating serializable "inside-out" classes
Class::Std introduced the "inside-out" model for classes (perldoc Class::Std
for details). Among its salient features is complete encapsulation; that is,
an object's data may only be accessed via its methods, unlike the usual
hashref model that permits direct access by any code whatsoever. However, the
drawback of complete encapsulation is that normal mechanisms for
serialization won't work, as they rely on direct access to an object's
 attributes.
 .
This class provides the class-building functionality from Class::Std, and in
addition provides an interface to allow Storable to freeze and thaw any
declared attributes of this class and any superclasses that were built via
 Class::Std::Storable.
 .
However, in order to let Storable save attributes and construct the object,
it is necessary to expose the attributes of the class to the world. Thus, any
code could use the same interface that Storable does to get a copy of object
attributes and create new objects with arbitrary attributes without going
through the constructor. While the interface CAN'T be used to replace the
existing attributes of an object, it COULD be used to create an arbitrarily
mutated clone of an object without going through its methods. Also, if
attributes are themselves references, then the objects to which they refer
 can be obtained and modified.

which correctly worked),
convert-im6.q16 and dispaly-im6.q16 cannot read HEIC/HEIF files generated by
iPhone.

displaye-im6.q16 cannot open HEIC/HEIF files.
When I tried following command,

  $ display-im6.q16 2023-07-02_09-49-17_IMG_2168.HEIC

As a result, the LOG image are shown.

In addtion convert-im6.q16 cannat read convert from HEIC/HECI files.
When I tried following command,

  $ convert-im6.q16 2023-07-02_09-49-17_IMG_2168.HEIC
2023-07-02_09-49-17_IMG_2168.HEIC.JPG.

In addition, I tried the experimental package (6.9.12.20+dfsg1-1.2) and it was

I clean-installed bookworm, this issue was unreproducible.
So there is another cause, but I cannot find it at now.

Bug#1028036: libx11-xcb1: uim's preedit hangs libreoffice

2023-01-05 Thread HIGUCHI Daisuke (VDR dai)
Package: libx11-xcb1
Version: 2:1.8.3-2
Severity: normal
Affects: src:uim src:libreoffice

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

0. (Create new user)
1. Set LANG and LC_ALL as ja_JP.UTF-8.
2. Install libreoffice-writer.
3. Install uim-anthy (Japanese Input Method),
launch uim-pref-gtk and set 'using Anthy'
4. Install im-config, launch im-config and set 'using uim'.
5. Launch libreoffice-writer.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Input Japanese and convert Hiragana to Kanji on uim's preedit.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Failure convert Hiragana to Kanji and libreoffice-writer hangs.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Successfully convert Hiragana to Kanji and libreoffice-writer does not hang.

I just revert below commit with libx11 2:1.8.3-3, this problem is solved.

ximcp/imRm.c: allow XNSpotLocation with OnTheSpot
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/-/merge_requests/127

Maybe it's because of uim's side, if so, please reassign this bug to uim.

I intend to orphan the sigscheme package.

The package decription is:

SigScheme is used as extension engine for uim, universal input method

It works and has reverse dependency with uim.

My personal life became busy and I finally lost my motivation,

Bug#996439: O: trayer -- Lightweight GTK2-based systray for UNIX desktop

2021-10-13 Thread HIGUCHI Daisuke (VDR dai)
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
Control: affects -1 src:trayer

I intend to orphan the trayer package.

The package decription is:
trayer is a small program designed to provide systray functionality
present in GNOME/KDE desktop environments for window managers which
do not support that function. System tray is a place, where various
applications put their icons, so they are always visible presenting
status of applications and allowing user to control programs.

It works and the packaging is in a good shape but it's stalled upstream
and depends obsoleted GTK+2. I'm also not planning to use it anymore.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience and my too late replying.

I removed anthy for EUC-JP at 2017-09 before Buster release (2019-07):

*
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/uim/-/commit/d678ee362b87bfcb512d9275b4eadcc5932a3e10
*
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/uim/-/commit/e39275ce8efedee8ff52c3a260a4e0073a6e400d

I do not use anthy and EUC-JP (my all files have been converted to UTF-8),
so I cannot think of them, sorry.

Nokubi-san, YOSHINO-san, can we just resurrect anthy EUC-JP?

Current upstream (not original authors who cannot get in touch) says
it is difficult to investigate it.

Nokubi-san, would we skip test-composer.scm for now?

On my just grepping, composer.scm is only required by test-composer.scm.
So it is no problem to skip test-composer.scm.

I lower the severity once because it is not always an build error.

test2/test-suite.log is printed in build log:

But I do not know why SigScheme throws this error.

Jonas Smedegaard pointed out this package "rabbiter" is not for packages

"net" seems more appropriate for this twitter related package.

Thank you for your reports.
But currently ruby-gnome2 failed to build due to ruby2.5's build flag (maybe).
see: https://lists.debian.org/debian-ruby/2019/07/msg00020.html
As soon as it is fixed, I will upload ruby-gnome2 with this fix.

Bug#926986: www.debian.org: https://www.debian.org/security/dsa-long XML parsing failure

Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal

For the past day or two, XML parsing on
https://www.debian.org/security/dsa-long has been failing.
The issue seems to be caused by an incorrectly escaped ampersand in the
description in a DSA.
The issue has not been present before, as there has not previously been an
ampersand inside a description.

I would be willing to contribute a patch if necessary.

Thanks,

This is a pre-approval for unblocking uim/1:1.8.8-4.

Please unblock package uim.

When upgrading from stretch to buster, input methods setting is broke
due to dropping uim-{byeoru,ipa-x-sampa,latin,look,m17nlib,pinyin,viqr}
packages previously.

So this uploading ressurects their packages for normally upgrading.

mikutter users can replace them with their own CK/CS by modifying code

but it is AT YOUR OWN RISK, I do not know what Twitter will do.

The maintainer of jhc package says he does not have time to fix them, maintain
it. Actually, he could do only initial uploading [0][4] and could not follow
new upstream releases [5].
I called for adoption of this to debian-haskell ML, but no response [6].

Guard plugin to run shell commands when files are altered.

With this plugin, when a file changes it does something in a shell or ruby.
It simply executes the block passed to watch if a change is detected,
and if anything is returned from the block it will be printed.
