Bug#760873: [vim-gtk] Incorrect display of ascii glyps (ie. displays 'm' in place of 'g').

2014-09-08 Thread darkestkhan
Package: vim-gtk
Version: 2:7.4.430-1
Severity: grave

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Dear Maintainer,

When using gvim various ascii glyphs (kanji and kana are displayed w/o
any kind of problems)
are displayed with various seemingly random glyphs (and even this is
quite random - some parts
of text may be displayed correctly while others with some garbage
(grade - mbfrd)).

Also when executing gvim I get corresponding error message:
$ gvim
** (gvim:13537): CRITICAL **: ascii_glyph_table_init: assertion
'gui.ascii_glyphs-num_glyphs == sizeof(ascii_chars)' failed

Please CC me if you have any additional question or are in need of
more information.

Maybe it is caused by testing python version (as it is different from sid one) ?

Bug#581412: [libblas3gf] BUGFIX

2012-06-08 Thread darkestkhan
Package: libblas3gf
Version: 1.2.20110419-3

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Seems like running
$ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libblas.so.3 /usr/lib/libblas.so.3gf
solved the problem. It may be the case that all other ImportErrors
of libblas.so.3gf can be solved by creating symlink.

Bug#581412: [libblas3gf] ImoprtError in Numpy when trying to execute mnemosyne

2012-06-08 Thread darkestkhan
 Le 08/06/2012 12:09, darkestkhan a écrit :
  from numpy.linalg import lapack_lite
   ImportError: libblas.so.3gf: cannot open shared object file: No such
  file or directory
 I cannot reproduce your problem.
 sudo apt-get install -t unstable mnemosyne

 $ ls /usr/lib/libblas*
 /usr/lib/libblas.so.3  /usr/lib/libblas.so.3gf?

 Anyway this should fix your problem:
 $ sudo apt-get install libblas3 --reinstall

 Can you confirm?

 Thanks
 S

I tried that before looking for another bugfix/workaround - as it was
written in one of the previousresponses to this bugreport that
reinstalling helps.
I did run $ sudo aptitude reinstall libblas3 libblas3gf
but that didn't help and this is the reason why I tried making symlink
by hand (which actually solved the problem at least for me). I will check
the other day in QEMU if I can find a sure way to trigger the bug.
It is [not so] funny that yesterday mnemosyne was running properly, but
today I had this bug.

Luckily I still had logs from today morning upgrade:
Setting up libatlas3-base (3.8.4-5) ...
update-alternatives: using /usr/lib/atlas-base/atlas/libblas.so.3 to

Maybe this will help.

Have a nice day,
darkestkhan

Bug#662628: vlc: Serious problems with playing video files

2012-03-05 Thread darkestkhan
Package: vlc
Version: 2.0.0-6
Justification: renders package unusable
Severity: grave

  After last actualization of VLC I started experiencing serious
problems with playing video files - .flv, .mp4, .webm and possibly
others (didn't test).
In fact - video files are not playing at all, and even when they are
playing it is with serious performance problems (on Pentium D T3400 it
consumes ~90% of one core). Also there is problem with quitting from
it whenever there was an attempt to play video file (only kill -9 does
the work). Worth of note is fact that I'm not using pulseaudio (nor
willing to do so).

Bug#654921: [qtodo] Severe memory leaks

2012-01-17 Thread darkestkhan
Hi,

how can I reproduce and see this for myself?
I would like to reproduce it.

It is not hard {, but may be time consuming in this case}. Make list
with many tens (I have more than 100 tasks [well, it may be caused by
the number of tasks]) of tasks with deadlines [maybe indent some of
them]. Close it to system tray. Wait. Whenever Deadline overview
appears there is small memory leak occurring. If you keep your mouse
cursor over system tray icon [so that the list of tasks [quite garbled
in my case] appears] you should experience yet another memory leak.
There is also one more memory leak but I couldn't quite define when it
occurs (suspects: refreshing Deadline overview... or just having qtodo
running in background). Now there are two kinds of memory leaks with
qtodo: one just leaks memory and upon closing qtodo it will be
reclaimed by kernel. The other one leaks memory inside X Server (so to
reclaim it one has to restart X Server) [currently my X server uses
~450MB RAM, from which ~250-300 MB is caused by qtodo]. Those memory
leaks are quite small so it takes some time to notice them, but as I
have tendency to leave apps running in background [unless I need to I
don't reboot/turn off my system] for many hours so they are quite
bothersome (and become noticeable).

 It doesn't here. You'll have to give more information.

For configuring compose key I'm using:
setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout us -option compose:lwin

Unfortunately I don't have any other system at my disposition on which
I could have reproduce bug (it is also present on my brother's system,
but I don't have access to that machine right now).
