Bug#554464: tkgate: 1.8.7 complains of corrupted files

2013-02-12 Thread david manyé
hello,

the error message disappears after issuing these two commands:

mkdir /usr/lib/tkgate-1.8.7/libexec
ln -s /usr/bin/tkgate /usr/lib/tkgate-1.8.7/libexec

the problem seems to be at src/tkgate/verilog.c line 557:
  sprintf(cmd,%s/libexec/tkgate,tkgate_homedir);

while tkgate binary resides under /usr/bin.

bye.

Bug#506949: SYS_CHROOT

2008-11-27 Thread david manyé
hello,

i have the same problem. i'm running kernel 2.6.26-1-vserver-686.

possible workarounds that work for me (i've only tested openssh sshd in the
vserver) are :

* downgrade to -3 version
* rebuild the -4 version without the 60securecaps.dpatch
* adding SYS_CHROOT bcapability

hope this helps.

Bug#499507: imagej: compile and run plugin option does not work

2008-09-19 Thread david manyé
Package: imagej
Version: 1.40a-1
Severity: normal

hello,

i've tried to install the deriche plugin found in
http://imagejdocu.tudor.lu/Members/tboudier/plonearticle.2006-07-12.2524848149/2007-01-03.4918047483/download
and
http://imagejdocu.tudor.lu/Members/tboudier/plonearticle.2006-07-12.2524848149

using the plugins-compile and run menu item and selecting the plugin
a window appears with the following message: This JVM does not include
the javac compiler. Javac is included with the Windows and Linux
versions of imageJ that are bundled with Java.

compiling the plugin by hand and putting it in ~/.imagej/plugins allows
to load the plugin correctly.

thanks.

Bug#498703: xserver-xorg-video-intel: x sometimes does not start

2008-09-12 Thread david manyé
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.3.2-2+lenny2
Severity: important

when starting a computer, sometimes xwindow does not start and gdm
shows the xkeepscrashing message. when a computer does not start,
restarting it one (or two or three!) times usually solves the problem.

i have a 30 near-identical computer lab and usually get a 10-15% crash
ratio.

i'm using a near up-to-date lenny install.

this report is filled in a working machine that the previous boot
failed.

feel free to ask for more info.

thanks.

trying to install in /dev/hda gives me the same error.

i've tried unsuccessfully the default lenny version 0.97-41 and 0.97-30
but older versions than -30 work perfectly: 0.97-27, 0.97-27etch1,
0.97-28 and 0.97-29. i've got -28, -29 and -30 versions from
snapshots.debian.net.

all the system is installed in /dev/hda5 with ext2 filesystem.

thanks.

Bug#489693: cannot install grub2 on a partition (but yes on mbr)

2008-07-07 Thread david manyé
Package: grub2
Version: 1.96+20080626-1
Severity: important

installed a small/simple debian with d-i lenny rc2. the installation is
done in a unique extended partition, that is, all is installed in
/dev/hda5.

grub2 works ok if i install on mbr but fails if i try to install it in
the root partition (/dev/hda5). i've also tried, unsuccessfully to
install in other partitions (hda1,hda6).

i have also problems with post-etch versions of grub 1. i'll file a
separate bug in a few minutes...
