Bug#739860: Please take over
I have stopped working on this. As I was working with packaging I felt that the library doesn't live up to my expectations, yet. It has nothing to do with quality of code or otherwise the quality of the library, only that I feel it is too integrated and dependent on the DHT. I'll reconsider when toxcore supports direct IP-to-IP encrypted communication, without being dependent on participation in a DHT or onion router. Cheers, gaffa
Bug#739860: ITP: tox -- easy to use all-in-one communication platform
>It seems to me, at this point, that someone should take the work Mike >did, merge this with gaffa's, and push this on collab-maint, or >*somewhere*! I don't have write access to collab-maint, so I'll just publish it *somewhere* :) >once that is all merged, then gaffa or anyone can find a mentor to >upload this, i'm happy to volunteer for that part. It sounds awesome that you're interested in sponsoring! I still have local copy of my package, but it is probably a bit outdated now. I think it is necessary to statically link libtoxcore to the clients or package all of the clients and libtoxcore synchronized, so that an update to libtoxcore doesn't break any of the clients. I'm willing to do both types for libtoxcore and the clients qtox, utox and toxic. I'll start packaging Monday, using the shared library approach and if anybody want to join my efforts, please send me an e-mail :) Cheers, gaffa

Bug#774505: bouncy: Window is 4:3 on 16:9 display and not fullscreen or windowed
Package: bouncy Version: 0.6.20071104-4 Severity: normal When I start bouncy it is displayed as a fullscreen 4:3 view at the right side of my 16:9 screen. I edited game.py:16 from: screen = pygame.display.set_mode(viewport, OPENGL | DOUBLEBUF) # | FULLSCREEN to screen = pygame.display.set_mode(viewport, OPENGL | DOUBLEBUF | FULLSCREEN) That gave me a normal fullscreen view. I don't know why the FULLSCREEN option was disabled. It doesn't seem to be a decorated window controlled by the window manager, before the change. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#770915: ITP: utox -- uTox is a lightweight audio/video chat client based on the secure tox protocol.
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: gaffa ga...@folkemagt.dk * Package name: utox Version : 0+git20141121 Upstream Author : notsecure * URL : https://github.com/notsecure/uTox/ * License : GPL-3 Programming Lang: C Description : uTox is a lightweight audio/video chat client based on the secure tox protocol. Tox is a free P2P audio/video protocol that requires no configuration. Using torrent-style DHT, peers can find the IP of other peers by using their Tox ID. Once the IP is obtained, peers can initiate a secure connection with each other and exchange messages, send files, start video chats, etc. using encrypted communications. I have already created a package for the version mentioned above. There are no official source tarballs and no version tags on the VCS. This package depends on libtoxcore. I've packaged libtoxcore and is currently waiting for replies to the ITP bug report, before I request a sponsor. Bug#770915: ITP: utox -- uTox is a lightweight audio/video chat client based on the secure tox protocol.
Hi Jérémy, Yea, it's a nifty little program! I haven't experienced any bugs myself, yet. In the minimalistic spirit of utox, I've stripped the debug information to -dbg packages for both libtoxcore and utox. I actually look forward to receive bugreports for utox and utoxcore :) The packages are already on mentors.debian.net[1], but I'm waiting for response on my packaging of libtoxcore on bug #739860[2], before I request sponsorship. Feel free to give the packages a review and suggest changes. Bug#766499: doxygen jquery.js replaced with link to libjs-jquery
Package: libstdc++-4.9-doc Version: 4.9.1-18 The libstdc++ documentation is broken, because the doxygen jquery.js is replaced with a link to libjs-jquery. For example viewing /usr/share/doc/gcc-4.9-base/libstdc++/user/modules.html shows a blank treeview blocking the view on the left of the document. I have 1.7.2+dfsg-3.2 of libsjs-jquery. Until the issue with doxygen and jquery has been resolved, it states in /usr/share/doc/doxygen/README.jquery that for now the best solution is to accept code duplication of jquery in doxygen documentation. Personally I wouldn't mind if the documentation was generated without the need for jquery, with a patch that sets DISABLE_INDEX = NO and GENERATE_TREEVIEW = NO in the user.cfg.in for libstdc++. I've noticed that for versions up to and including 4.7, lintian reported embedded-javascript-library, so all versions after that are likely affected. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#732926: libstdc++-4.8-doc: documentation fails to render
I'm not sure that it would solve the issue, but shouldn't the dependency on libjs-jquery introduced in revision 6620, be demoted to a suggestion? I don't see a reason why I would want the library to read the documentation. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? I think the real issue is the overkill of depending on javascript and an http server to read the documentation of libstdc++. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
